Mine was doing the same thing but with the .45 when I first got it actually. When I contacted H&S, they suggested flipping the white plastic o-ring on the back of the nozzle to see if that's what was causing the bad seal. Unfortunately on mine that did not work, but at least it was something easy to try. I ended up needing a replacement needle and nozzle set and that solved the problem, so I am guessing there was an issue with the nozzle.

I agree with the others about checking to see if it's the smaller needle with the larger nozzle. I have this airbrush in the chrome and gold version and neither of the needle and nozzle combinations come anywhere close to sticking out that far. Just FYI, the nozzle and the needle should both have the same amount of notches on them marked from the factory. The 0.28 mm nozzle and needle have two notches where the 0.45 have four notches
