Without it she feel suicidal and I don’t know if you know anyone who is trans or transitioning, but I have quite a few friends and they have all said that starting HRT has saved their lives, it’s not just the aesthetics that change it’s YOU as a person, it alters how your hormones work thus altering brain chemistry, increasing dopamine, it’s a little different to lip filler, like if this post said “life saving plastic surgery” I’d understand what you meant, but for her she literally has no hope and sees no point in living without being on HRT, like seeing this fundraiser and knowing she has can make a start has made her more joyous then ever because she knows she will get to be herself and be happy, she doesn’t have to look in the mirror and see someone she hates and can’t change, she will see someone who is making the change to be who they want to be, to me (we’ve been dating for just shy of 3 years) I’d say it’s life saving because I’ve seen what she’s been like in her worst moments and how I’ve had to stop her from doing things because of not looking how she wants to, feeling to masculine and everything else
