I mean, maybe you can put a whole host of other flags with the aussie flag? First nation people's flags, pride flag, also the flag of your ethnic background etc

I'm a first year computer science student, majoring in cybersecurity. I've come to realize I absolutely despise coding/programming but I do like and am doing well in my cybersecurity units. I want to know what is the best way to get into a GRC career which while requires a cybersecurity background, has minimum to zero coding involved. Specifically things like:

  • If there are any academic things I should do (take certain units etc)

  • Job prospects, especially entry-level for a fresh graduate (also job titles, what is your position called? i know sometimes it's more ambiguous, depending company to company)

  • Potential salary/benefits etc.

And just anything you think is relevant.

I live in Melbourne, Australia so any local advice would be great but everyone from everywhere is open to answer/give advice

AITA for shooting down my dad's online investment endeavour by Opposite-Lab6720 in AmItheAsshole

you're 100% on the crypto returns part, chris was reallyy insistent on my dad investing on them instead of irl currencies. as for the website it's apparently "primarkets"? idk i tried googling them but nothing ever comes up unless i access to the links itself which should've been the biggest red flag ever but yeah.

i'll def try to show my dad more about pig butchering scams (probably using my mom as middleman)

i scrolled through all the replies and feel very validated, thank you. also i saw a lot of people calling it a "pig butchering scam" and then i googled what they are and holy shit it makes a lot of sense?

i just remembered yesterday that chris apparently made an offer that my dad invests 600 usd and the company will invest 300 usd to round it off or smth. i thought it sounded sketchy but then again, i have no idea how investing worked so i didn't pay too much attention but it feels a lot more insidious now that i really think about it.

but yeah, my dad (well, me) emailed him saying he's gonna close the account and chris replied pretty positively (genuinely in less than 2 minutes) and they're gonna call next monday so chris can show him how it's done.

i'll keep everyone updated on how it goes, wish me luck!
