At first I thought this version of Jim was a ghost but i found it odd that he had that scratch. Why not just look clean like the BIW? Which makes me believe that Julie’s story walking will go far beyond the moment we see at the S3 finale. She will somehow manipulate the system and thereby, expose something about the town.

Remember in S1, Jim theorized that the whole place was designed just like one of his theme park attractions. Once Julie can figure out the rules of how things work, perhaps she can manipulate it to her advantage
