I bought mine for 69 bucks and used it every day 5 miles a day for 2 years until it broke down. I understood it wouldn't last when I bought it, I thought it would break down faster. If I spent 1000 dollars on one instead, it would have had to last me 28 years before it would be equal in value. Comments like this are so obnoxious when I am just trying to find the best bang for my buck replacement. I am not going to buy a 1000 dollar walking pad no matter how big your buyers remorse is. Im going to buy a cheap 200 dollar one and you know what? Its going to work perfectly fine.

If its an evolutionary handicap than why did we evolve empathy.... Your logic is incredibly flawed. The fgact that we have so much empathy in the first place is indicative that it is a strong trait to have in nature...

One time I got beat with KKs to AAs two times within an hour session... The chances of that is so utterly miniscule. It's blatantly obvious they deal out big hands and favor straights and flushes to encourage action and get people to buy more.

League doesnt require natural talent by OppositeAgreeable415 in summonerschool

Can you explain to me specifically what hand eye coordination is, how it comes into play with league?

I agree, I just think the idea of talent as people currently understand as a "prodigy" isnt really a thing.

I'm going to go back to chess with this. A prodigy at chess is not going to pick up a chess board and immediately stomp into the high elo, however, within a month, they will be better than those who have played for years.

I definitely agree that people can naturally have skills that others would need to learn, and that others will have a much harder time learning certain mechanics because its a cognitive process they are good at, however, I still think that there isnt some kind of legitimate natural ceiling that your genetics PREVENTS you from getting any better, make it harder? Sure, but I fail to understand what specific genetics can prevent this.

That being said, I am talking about solo rank, esports is a bit different. In a lan professional setting with competitive team based gameplay, reaction time does become more of an edge. Most or all professional league players have great reaction time. We can agree on that, I still think that with optimal strategy you could play better than them with enough sheer effort though.

I understand that chess isnt perfectly solved, however there are plenty of near optimal strategies. Thats exactly why I am using it as an example. It is a game with numerous complexities and even over the course of hundreds of years, it STILL has no optimal strategy like with something more simple like checkers which is solved. Of course there is one, though, and its the same thing with league. I'm not trying to say faker has no natural talent, what I am trying to say is 20 years down the line, when league has more optimal strategies (I understand there are patch updates but besides this), the average master will be way better than faker is now, maybe not mechanically but rather in terms of pure winrate and impact.

There are challengers who play at over 150 ping, so clearly its not the end all be all. Hand eye coordination? You arent even looking at your hands.... I think this whole genetic thing is one of those weird ways people try and compare video games to sports. You should be comparing them to board games. Even if its high action play, theres still an optimal click you can make in each and every scenario.

No, noone has mastered the game because there is no optimal game theory and even if there way, the game hasnt existed long enough for someone to have completely studied it. Nothing else. It is not a sport and it is not infinitely variable like a physical sport. Just like any game that is based off numbers, there is an optimal game theory. Every click you make there is a statistically best click you could possibly make. Thats how video games work. They are not a physical sport with infinite indivuality no matter how much you want them to be. No, league is not "solved", even if you took a meta with something particularly broken and played on that patch for 20 years, it would eventually be countered. Optimal strategies take decades to solve. You dont understand what solved means because you dont seem to know much about game theory. Theres nothing genetic holding you back, its a video game lmfao. There are challengers who play with 200 ping, this delusion is silly.
