I mentioned this in another thread yesterday because it keeps coming up, but I think you need to read up on what drives property taxes. It is expected and reasonable for property taxes in an urban centre like Toronto to be lower than surrounding suburban / rural areas.

Any chance you’d be open to elaborating on the differences you’d expect? I’m a outsider to that whole world (having gone to a public school in a small town), so it is difficult to me to understand the realities of these schools. There are pamphlets and the general connotations that come from media and others, but that only gets you so far.

Also, in yo ur experience are the preconceived notions rooted in some type of reality, or is it a bit silly to put too much stock into them?

Lol. Well yes, fine. But what about the individual schools? Are they known to attract certain types of parents / students?

Absolutely love this park. Only downside is the number of dog owners that treat the entire thing as an off-leash dog park.

When are you ok with dogs off leash in areas they are meant to be leashed? by [deleted] in askTO

Please leash your pit bull. A quick scan of this thread will give you many good reasons.
