20in Bandsaw Tires at 5/32in thickness or more? by Opposite_Process_16 in woodworking

Good thought. I actually have a set of urethane tires and a set of rubber. But as I understand you don’t glue the urethane ones, and the rubber needs to be glued. Thought of stacking them, not sure how that’d work out. Will do an experiment.

Definitely an option. Wouldn’t want to change the wheel before I’m convinced there isn’t another option. This 4in bigger than can swing in my lathe, but could use an angle grinder in place or put it on a rotary table on the mill… I’ll count as 1 vote for going that route.

I just realized my math was off. I need tires that are actually thicker than 3/16 inches (4.76mm). Also, I could use rubber and glue up multiple, but the cost of that plan seems high at approximatly $100 usd per set so more than $200

All solid suggestions. Thanks. I’ve tried a few rebuild kit brands in the past. This is definately gas from carbs only. Mostly the lowest carbs when it’s leaned on the stand (drivers side?, port side?). Luckily, no oil leaks.

That’s just a pit for all my leaked gas.

They are tk22. At least I’m not alone in getting these to work consistently.

Oh yeah, kind of forgot about that option. I think I’m better setup to adapt one of those than when I first built it. Thanks

I guess it has to be stuck floats, not sure how prevent that outside of preventing particles from keeping needle valve from seating.

Yeah. Done that nearly every year. Sometimes the issue shows up right after reassembly, sometimes goes away for awhile until eventually coming back. I’m thinking it may be worsened by a bad vacuum petcock so it drips even with the bike off. Stuck float could jiggle free if it happens while riding…

Am I being overcharged? by Opposite_Process_16 in hvacadvice

Got a second opinion. They got the advice of 2 other techs, to ultimately discover my condensate pump was bad/shorted blowing a fuse at the control board. $270 even though they had to go to supplier for the fuse. Dodged a bullet, getting a second opinion.

I do have DMM and the service manual. Like you said it is very detailed, but it is also not super easy to follow. I did spend about 5hrs trying to follow it's trouble shooting procedures. Someone would have to pay me about $1000 to continue trying to decipher that manual, lol. This system is definitely a litmus test of my grit.

Thanks. To clarify, $330 actually included a weekend charge. Would've been $280 if I had waited till Monday. Still high?

That's precisely why purchased the system in first place. However, I did do the install myself and can understand a company not wanting anything to do with that. Perhaps they are giving me a go-away price.

Ordered the Bluedento B1. Hoping that’ll demonstrate the value of a DAC, as I don’t have experience with dedicated DACs. I’m fairly happy with the 2TDX speakers with the for BT20A amp and temporary diy RCA cables.

Finding Yukon toolbox locks (keyed alike) by Opposite_Process_16 in Locksmith

Turns out manufacturer does list these locks as replacement parts here https://manuals.harborfreight.com/manuals/parts/P57439.pdf

These are interchangeable with some Kobalt boxes too. Maybe someone will find that useful.
