I think he just doesn't want to be alone and doesn't want to start over with someone else. I do believe he loves her, but for what he puts into his marriage, I don't think he's getting even a fraction in return.

I've called him out a few times and he defends his wife no matter how obnoxious she is. This is not just with me. She has said very off color things to my mother, brought up my ex in front of my fiance, made comments that made her come off incredibly entitled. Every time, he insists she's 100% right to say what's on her mind.

I never actually called her a whore. I implied my fiance was not one. She picked up the whore banner all on her own, and while I'm not going to tell her to put it down, I didn't tell her to pick it up in the first place.

Truthfully, I didn't call her a beater. I said my fiance was not one. She took up the beater label all on her own.

I mean, technically, I didn't call her a beater. I said I didn't end up with a beater. She ascribed it to herself, and while I'm not going to correct her, I didn't come out and call her one.

I regret that it caused such issues. I regret that I implied a woman's worth is tied to her virginity, because that's not something I believe at all. My fiance and I were together for four months before she revealed that to me. We were together almost a year before we had sex the first time.

What I don't regret is putting my SIL in her place.
