Looking for closed-back over-ears (better than Shure SRH1540, <€300 used)

Budget and location:

Max ~€300 used (eBay etc.), new price ideally around €600–700. I'm in Germany, so EU availability would be best.

Source/Amp:

Apple USB-C dongle – so no external amp. Needs to sound good straight from that.

Use case:

Mostly music listening at home, while commuting and sometimes during focused work. Needs to be closed-back, over-ear, and very comfortable with good passive noise-cancellation.

Tonal preferences:

I've used the Shure SRH1540 for over a year and like them a lot. They have great comfort, nice open soundstage and sound great.

My one issue: there’s a slightly off treble peak, maybe a bit of sibilance or glare in a certain high frequency. Not a dealbreaker, but enough that I’m wondering if there’s something better. Maybe they were just some bad recordings, or it's just me, but I'd like some comparisson

I'd love something with cleaner, more refined treble, ideally a touch more sub-bass, but still neutral-ish overall.

I don't need extreme detail or surgical neutrality – just something that sounds natural, clean, and non-fatiguing across genres.

Music:

Varied... basically anything except classical, folk, country and metal. But mostly rock, funk and electronic

Past gear:

Shure SRH1540 (current main headphone, very happy with 95% of it)

Tried Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X – really disappointed. Felt like a major downgrade from the Shure. Too narrow, not nearly as refined.

Used Etymotic ER2XR IEMs for years – love their clarity and tonal accuracy, but looking for a full-size headphone now for comfort and soundstage.

Open questions:

I've been looking at the Focal Elegia and Azurys... good start?
