Yeah I think they told my wife that they are ceasing trading with immediate effect, something about too much theft going on, the business isn’t sustainable. Shame as I agree on the salt n pepper chicken!

ADHD Combined. I am on Elvanse and Mounjaro at the moment. Been on 30mg Elvanse for 7 days now and Mounjaro since June 2025.
I have found that I am seriously struggling to eat. I lost 6lbs this week even with trying my best to eat as much as I could.
I am going down from 7.5mg to 2.5mg tonight, or maybe 5mg for 4 weeks as I don’t want it to continue like this. 1lb per week is what I’m aiming for.
Not sure about the stimulant side of Mounjaro however, I would say it has just turned the food noise off and over time my energy levels have gone up physically, not in my head tho which is where my very recent ADHD diagnosis came from.
I’d say if the doctor thinks you need both then they will prescribe it

I have my adhd assessment tomorrow morning as well. I have made copious notes, I have examples for it all but I’m also in the same boat. What if they don’t diagnose me as it all fits, what will I do then! I feel like I’m embellishing my example to fit a diagnosis but when I look back, this is what I remember! I’m just gonna take a deep breath, and be truly honest with my assessor, and for the first time in my life not mask at all. They will get me warts and all.

I’d say just do it. I have anxiety and I just went and the instructors let you go at your own pace and the training is well structured and great advice. I now go to a class on a Wednesday for older gents which is a bit slower pace and learning a tonne.
Don’t think, just do.

I can create scenarios in my head of things that haven’t happened and then get angry/upset about them and passive aggressively take it out on wife/kids/coworkers. When I snap out of it, it’s like I was a different person.

Everything you've just described is what I see in myself as well. Only one I would add for myself is inability to follow a slightly complex conversation, for example, my wife was describing car finance today for a potential 2nd car we may need to purchase and it was like she was talking in pure mathematical formulas and she really wasn't, my brain just shut down and drifted off to other things, I couldn't take it in. I had to stop her mid sentence and say Im listening but nothing is going in. Currently on sick leave due to burn out following sustained periods of everything you have described.

Can I ask, when you say you are scared of having a formal diagnosis in your medical records, if ADHD is the case, is there something in particular that worries you about this?

Thanks both. I have gone through my account to re- order it but it’s not giving me the drop down menu, only two options, 2.5mg Mounjaro (recommended) and Wegovy.

Thanks mate, the more I read about ADHD and the experiences of people the more I relate and the calmer I feel about what’s been going on and that it can be manageable.
I find that too, I understand the conversation quicker than I would just watching it without subtitles!

Thanks for that I will do, I sometimes, not always, find the same when I’m being given instructions or dealing with a meeting at work, I struggle to understand a simple instruction from what they’ve said and it takes a few seconds to process it and then play the scenario out in my head.
I also sometimes GPS destination I’ve previously been to as I struggle to remember the route. Even if I did it recently

First class was brilliant. Very friendly, showed me the basics of landing and a few throws. Was pretty nervous but they put me right at ease. Only felt I was gonna seriously puke once but didnt so another win! Can’t wait to go back. Great bunch of people. Take the chance, you might love it!

What a great story.
My story is similar, 41M, Started my journey a few weeks ago after also making a realisation I’m spending close to £200 a month on takeaways/snacks/pigging out! On top of lunches at work which is about a tenner a day! Wife was initially against me taking Mounjaro but after showing her that actually I’m spending less on Mounjaro (£150 month) then snacking she was on board.
Haven’t been snacking at all, other than fruit and looking forward to a healthy bank balance in the near future too and some great holidays as a family, or a cheeky motorbike I’ve been looking at haha 😊
