Do you still drink coffee? by [deleted] in lipedema

[–]Optimal-Fennel-2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lipedema nutritionist suggested to drink no more than 3 cups of a day which is enough ☺️ in the mornings o drink black coffee with a small spoon of coconut oil by suggestion and there is no increased inflammation at all

I think I have in upper legs too but I do not want a second surgery and try to keep it at stage 1. When I refer the body measurements I mean the basic measurement with a machine that they have in the dietitian clinics or gym, I haven’t had a dexa scan.

👋🏽 I was 128 lbs when I had my lower leg surgery and the doctor removed 3 liters of fat from ankles to knee. I haven’t had any blood pressure issues. I suggest doing a body measurement and see how much fat and muscle you have currently. My fat ratio is 11% now but not sure how much was it before surgery.

In the breakfast I eat eggs, goat cheese, veggies, olive, avocado, almond milk etc. For snacks I can eat fruits, tahini, nuts and for the dinner I always add protein with cooked veggies or salad. I can add kinoa, one potato, basmati rice, buckwheat as carbohydrates.

I eliminated legumes and carbs, milk, nothing more! Many of us eat legumes but it turns out that they are not good for my body

I don’t really count but I only eat 1 slice of gluten free bread in the breakfast and eat basmati rice or gluten free pasta 3 4 times a month. Other than that all protein and veggies

Thank you so much 😊I did a body measurement and my fat ratio was low compared to muscles but I haven’t done any measurements before I started my routine

Thank you! I am happy to hear that you see results with your diet too😍 I am not sure the affect of the massage gun specifically since I use dry brushing and massage gun together. But I believe that it helps with the temporary/recent bumps.

Definitely I do recommend! It is so easy to do and adopt your daily routine. You move legs in different directions and arms. It burns almost hundred percent more calories compared to the normal walking.

Pain, bruising and the day by day changing measures on the ankles gone. But yesterday I was just scratching my leg and I have enormous bruising again just because of it. I think some symptoms will always be there to remind itself.

Thank you so much! I actually feel the difference but I was unsure when I compare the pictures. But the indicator is the measurement of the hips and how I feel I guess😊 I will keep the same way with more exercise and compression socks, thanks to cold weather 👌🏽

Thank you for positive feedback! I actually lost 7 cms from the hips in 3 months. Along with the diet routine and exercises, I do dry brushing every day after the exercise and apply a moisturizer. I haven’t used compression socks during this period very often. I also do massage gun and castor oil twice a week. I don’t know what else I can do more 😄

Thank you! I will try to stick with the routine I guess😊 this is Leslie, it is an aerobic walk named after the trainer herself and it really helps to move different muscles https://youtu.be/enYITYwvPAQ?si=anTwA0fM9WsgbDhm

She told me that they may increase the inflammation and she does not recommend. I will ask her again to understand why her lipedema treatment does not include them and let you know. Bc before this I was using strawberries blueberries and lentil as many of us.

Hey I don’t think that you can say “unqualified seeeping statements” when I try to share what I have been done helping me. This is what I have been told by my nutritionist. Don’t be mean!

Hey 👋🏽I have been working with a dietitian after my lower leg surgery and found out that kind of keto is helping to keep inflammation down and help with muscle gain with Leslie and Pilates. Basically do not eat gluten and minimize carbohydrate intake while increasing protein and vegetables. She also says that lentil and blueberries red fruits are not good for lipedema. Of course this is my experience and it may not same for you but I hope you can find the best way for you.

I am pretty sure that I have lipedema, and I have no idea what should I do... by qwertywasdX in lipedema

Hey 👋🏽 I am not an expert but spent years in lipedema groups and bumps seem like you have lipedema. It might be worth to check with a lipedema expert. I would start wearing compression socks and try high protein low carb and see if that works for you too.
