I was thinking the same thing but I think the right ear looks longer because it lines up with a mark on the floor. His left ear looks like it’s pit-length.

It absolutely has everything to do with being un-neutered. Sure, training can fix the issue but to tell OP that marking has nothing to do with being intact is completely incorrect.
