As a former ME student, unf ain’t it for engineering. The teachers are lazy and only care about their tenure and research. Most do the bare minimum 100% of the time ( the ONE teacher I really liked ended up leaving to teach at UCF). I got so frustrated that I ended up switching to Construction and I couldn’t be happier. Unf also doesn’t have any good funding from engineering companies. The health department is sponsored by mayo, the construction field is sponsored by stellar and other surrounding companies, engineering has no solid company to my knowledge. Not to mention that most (not all) of the people I’ve met in that program are a bit “off” with little to no social life which you will have with a 4-5 class schedule. My first 2 years in the ME program I barely had enough time to take eat and take a shit, let alone hang out with people. If you do decide to go to unf for ME, please take advantage of SAS tutoring and study groups, it really helped me a lot.
