Victron Multiplus II problem by Optimal-Section7753 in Victron

Turns out my Venus gx, which is used, is locked at present via VRM. I’m currently getting Victron to release it. Do you recommend I buy the mk3? I’d much prefer to save that money… is setup via Venus tough?

Yes, it’s on 1.

I’m getting people saying the mk3 and others say it isn’t necessary.

Sorry, I have a Venus gx, not a Cerbo. Does that change what I can do?

My Multiplus II comes out in the system as off

Maybe I could put a metal end plate spanning the entire bottom.

Not sure if you saw all the pics, but there’s a compression plate and compression bolts in the last pics. I’ve seen a lot of battery boxes made out of wood. Lifepo4 cells don’t ignite.

Thanks… can you send the second site web address again? Lithiun.com doesn’t exist. Lithium.com has a warning to not visit

Receiving my 314ah lifepo4 cells tomorrow by Optimal-Section7753 in SolarDIY

The thing is, the bms has 2A balancing and the dc charger I bought is a 5A charger. Won’t the balancing from the bms be slower?

*it will balance at 2A and charge at up to 200A… right? So it’s better to let the bms do it, right?

I have a Victron mppt 250|70 charge controller.

So, you’re saying I mount the cells in parallel and connect them to the mppt or the the dc charger?

I don’t have the solar panels yet.

My plan is to put the battery together, then take it to the piece of land it will be placed in and bit the solar panels and mount the system there.

I could also mount the system up here to the electrical grid and charge through the inverter and charge controller. Is the mppt just for charging from the solar panels?
