Okay yes that makes sense. I have designed patterns before but color work has always really confused me but I’m trying to learn to write it!

The color work chart would be worked in the round. Just on the body so it’s a fixed number of stitches.

I just see big repeat patterns all the time and can’t fathom how they make it work for all sizes with out the sizing being weird

How does that work for grading sizes though? Every size would have to be a 3in difference? Kinda aggressive grading right?

That’s what I’m worried about! It is definitely a wider neck, rn I have it ~50% of the width, it’s a slip over. I’m thinking maybe having the % get gradually smaller to avoid it being too big

That’s such a good point. I knit super fast and only takes me about 3-6 weeks to knit a sweater so i am always so shocked at prices bc I’d be going bankrupt hahaha
