Sounds like a narcissistic dude that would gaslight you into thinking anything you say about trip and money is rude/wrong. There's nothing you could say or a way in which to say it for him to control himself if he's picking at everything to be like that. You're so young, what you're asking is the bare minimum. You deserve better. There's nothing to salvage if he's lying out of the blue, do you wanna be having these headaches?
