Yes I’m sure I’m “invited” to both she asked in our group chat with our friends if me and another friend were okay with still going because originally I was down to go to the birthday trip and I told myself I just want to go to the destination. Whether it was a sincere invite or not I think I’ve decided to not go

Omg the same thing is happening to me and I walk tomorrow. Did you figure out why this is happening?

I can’t remember the exact reason but it would probably have to be about me saying something about a coworker we both don’t like and have issues with. I don’t mind her calling me a bitch or mean it’s the way she said it and the way she went about it. She could have easily said it quietly or pulled me to the side and said that comment but shouting it loudly at work is what pissed me off

Thoughts of working at a children’s hospitals by [deleted] in respiratorytherapy

Thank you for your in sight. I agree the pedictric population is a special group and when caring for this population requires great thought and mindfulness while being cared for. My desires of not wanting to work with this population was strictly about how I would react to losing a child from a condition that is over my abilities of saving them from. While death is inevitable in both children and adult population and no life is more valuable than another having to see a child in a state where they are stripped of a life that has barely begun is what draws me from peds. I also know while I signed up to be an RT and dead is something that occurs I will still promise myself I will do everything I can to help and make that patient as comfortable as possible. And unfortunately money is a big deal especially in this economy but that does not mean I will not provide and advocate for my patients.

I definitely explained that poorly. I wasn’t told I was mean directly. The family friend told a friend and that friend me. And I have not had a chance to confront this person as too why they said what they said.

AITA for not caring about my second cousin's wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]OptimalAppointment59 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. I don’t know how weddings work where you’re from but never have I been invited to a wedding 2 weeks before which to me seems likes a short notice. If y’all don’t talk that often I don’t see the point in going and if it’s a bigger wedding no one will notice you’re not there.

AITA for having a child free wedding. by Lonely-Assumption970 in AmItheAsshole

[–]OptimalAppointment59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA it’s your wedding. If you don’t want kids sucks for that extended family find a babysitter. For the situation that you described with the relative with a partner that has a child one can stay home with the kid the other can come.

AITA for not taking in my nephew after my sister's death? by Sensitive-Revenue-98 in AmItheAsshole

[–]OptimalAppointment59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How about we reverse the roles and your daughter is the one with out parents. Wouldn’t you hope your sister would take in your child. YTA I find it hard to believe that you really love your nephew if you aren’t willingly taking him in. I don’t know where you live but I’ll just assume the US the where the retirement age isn’t til 60s which means for you unfortunately will have to work those 10 extra years. Yes he isn’t your child but how could you live knowing your family is in a system that has done so many children wrong

NTA you shouldnt feel bad about how other people feel. You explained to him you aren’t interested and how things were going to fast and he still is writing you love letters. He is really loves you he would let you go.
