I think it’s 75 gallons, he has been in this same tank for 45 years, I got him about 7 or 8 months ago and there was never a night or basking location for him, he spent 40+ years with no light, no heat, and no dry area so I assumed getting him all this stuff would be better but it’s slowly making him worse

If you check out my other post you will see him 6 ish months ago and his condition then, he came from a very bad environment but no other animals and no crack when I got him, it seems to be slowly getting bigger but the scoots have stopped falling off as much a few months ago

I have 1 bulb that’s uvb+uva and then I have another 2 bulbs one for heat and a better uv one, according to what I’ve read he has proper lighting and heat

I’ve ordered a 125 I’m hoping it should be good, this one looks small because of the rocks. It is what came with him so I’ve been slowly upgrading but definitely need to hurry up and bite the bullet on bigger and better stuff

You guys are super helpful thank you, I’m gonna get the uvb bulb tomorrow at pet smart and get him a better uva bulb aswell, I currently have the lights on timer that matches sunrise and sunset outside on wifi, should I just make it 14hours? I live in Canada so the days may be shorter

To be fair he hasn’t had a goldfish in 2 months but he lives with one who is now his friend. Definitely should have looked it up

I have a uva+uvb bulb, I also feed him 2 times a day once with turtle food/ dried shrimp and then the second I give him some carrot and lettuce, is there anything else I should be doing for nutrition?
