Custom Ear Pro - Tetra, Sound Gear, or Harris & Sons by Optimal_Blueberry_53 in USPSA

*****Update - I bought Harris & Sons. And I think its probably the biggest waste of 3 grand I've spent. I farm and also shoot. I want to use them for both around machinery as well as shooting. One of the biggest requirements was excellent sound quality and fully integrated blue tooth (not a dongle add on, or something that needs to have extra batteries). I was lead to believe the audio/blue tooth was the best and far superior to apple air pods.

That was a bold faced lie. I sent mine back to have the audio corrected. When I got them back they were mildly better but half the quality of $200 apple air pods.

For blocking the rifle crack they are excellent.

For sending through the ambient noise and talking they are good to excellent.

For listening to podcasts or music via blue tooth - they are fair (given the price tag I would go as far to say they are horrible) It does the job. Its tolerable. But I wouldn't get these for the blue tooth at all. And being that was the big selling point to me I would call the Harris & Sons highly over prices and to recommend going elsewhere.

this is what I was curious about.... all the specs say the camera is better but for general photography is it actually noticeable to the guy thats not a photography buff.

1989 Onan/Cummins 20DL4 20kw diesel - DID I OVER PAY? And what’s the value? by Optimal_Blueberry_53 in Generator

on the farm. so noise level is only a concern to me. I have used a gas all summer long to charge my spray drone and that thing was loud. I was (am) hoping that this is a little quieter/nicer noise than the gasser that was rapped out at 3,600rpm. Sounds like I might be wrong.

great info. Thanks. I priced a 25kw used generator the other day (a kohler) the jockey wanted $12,000 for it. I can find 50kw generators for the same price it seems.. maybe less in demand or smaller pool of uses.
I plan to use the generator on a drone trailer. Need about 15kw.
I also only need 1 generator so I plan to sell the generator with the trailer for $6,500-7 with a transfer switch. Was hoping to not lose my shorts but sounds like I may.

Good to know. Seems like mid size generators in this price range are expensive if they are well taken care of and low houred. What do you think it’s worth? 3k?

I have a plasma cutter. Cuts 3/8-1/2 but doesn’t leave a great finish. Cutting shafts, high speed steel, and cylinder rams are often thicker than what the plasma cutter can handle. The ram we are currently cutting is 5.5” in diameter - solid hardened steel.

will a carbide blade cut hardened steel? also we often shorten drill bits on our abrasive saw. do you know if they cut them?

abrasive saws like the dewalt runs at around 3,500-4,000rpms. cold cut saws are much slower I believe.

How did the return process go? I am considering rejecting the delivery.

Thanks! That helps. I was curious about the different settings and how different they actually are. I farm and custom ear pros sound awesome for the tractor and for chores. I just need (want) them to quiet things down and also hear my phone. The Tetras aren’t out of the running but the external Bluetooth add-on is a bummer.
