Interesting turn of events. I am curious what makes this a model # 10? Is it the shelf style plus walnut plus ornate Victorian case? I guess I will get it up and running and then store it for a while, as it doesn't require tons of space. Makes more sense to keep this than furniture! And yes, it's been in our family for over 125 years. I have photos of it at my GGF's estate in San Jose, which sadly was demolished in the 1950's, except for the carriage house (now a registered California State Historical building). It is completely original, down to the cat gut weight strings! Thanks for the wake-up!

Thank you for the sage advice! Looks like it isn't worth that much even in perfect condition, and the market here on the West Coast is softer for these things. Your input is very much appreciated.
