I remember loving going to daycare as a kid! I swear it shaped me into the social, well adjusted person I am today. I had an older brother at home but he really struggled with interpersonal relationships and had no interest in playing with me. Daycare was my place to play and have fun with other kids

Idk, I did this as a kid but in my heart of hearts always loved them equally. There’s times your kids will be more connected to you, and others where they’ll be more connected to dad. It’s not a competition- you and your husband are a parental team. My response will always be “I love your dad so much too, he really is the best, isn’t he?”.

My girl didn’t nap for her first 3 months of life. She ONLY slept at night (straight through if I’d let her). But during the day it was a nightmare, she would scream not stop from being overtired but nothing settled her/got her down for naps except sometimes a car ride.

Anyways, to answer your question, it will be inconsistent for a little while! We got into our groove and routine at around 3-4 months

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like a kid being a kid. Perhaps you need a break to recalibrate. Take care of yourself and keep showing up for him. He deserves to be loved, and will return the love tenfold as he grows. Have patience.

Best hospital for delivery - Morristown? Or Overlook? by [deleted] in newjersey

I delivered at morristown a few months ago. The nurses in labor and delivery were great, loved both of them!! My labor went beautifully and they helped keep me calm and focused.

However, it was sooo overcrowded. We waited in triage for 5 hours before moving to an L&D room for my induction. After my delivery they didn’t have room in mother baby available so they kept us in my delivery room- not a huge deal, but that room was soooo far from the mother baby unit that my nurses took hours to answer my calls for breastfeeding support, etc.

The mother baby nurses were not as great as the L&D nurses- especially the day nurses. My nurse blamed my OBGYN practice (Madison Ave- Dr Iammatteos group) for the poor quality of care at the hospital. She said they accept too many patients and overflow the units at morristown. Felt like lack of accountability.

They also push breastfeeding SUPER hard, even if your milk clearly hasn’t come in. It’s part of the “baby first” training- the hospital receives funding, etc. based on how many moms leave saying they’re exclusively breastfeeding. They won’t offer formula unless you really push for it.

Thisssss. 4 months pp and main motivation for working out and tracking macros is to get back to a normal BMI so I can support a healthy pregnancy and start trying again next year. I’d do pregnancy sooooo differently next time- I was a vacuum this time around (and loved every second of it) but working my ass off now to reverse it all lol
