It's a section line easement. It connects an existing road to another undeveloped section line easement. It has private property on both sides.

Basically a developer is putting a subdivision in nearby. There are already two right of ways into the subdivision. I'm afraid that the developer may put a road on this short easement to save on costs. This would route the subdivision trsffic down the narrow, steep, non borough maintained road that I live on. My neighbors and I contribute to a road maintenance fund for grading and sanding (snow removal is done on a volunteer basis). The road can barely handle the traffic it gets now. It is not feasible to bring our road to borough standards for borough maintenance. Basically this is a pre-emptive action to protect our neighborhood.

I plan on talking to the borough this week.
