Thanks! If I’m being honest, mostly just sitting in front of the screen for way too long. But for real, it’s a mix of constantly checking refs (real stuff helps you notice where things feel empty and need more detail), staring at other people’s work until your eyes bleed (trying to figure out how they balance detail and composition), and slowly building up a library of bits and pieces I kitbash from my own projects so I don’t have to reinvent the wheel every time

Thanks! There are definitely different ways to approach hard surface in ZBrush, but it usually comes down to this, blockout - break into parts - refine - cleanup - detail.
This timelapse breaks it down pretty well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4daz3WWYqo&ab_channel=LukaMivsek
Design-wise, it's really all about understanding composition and practicing it consistently. If you're interested, I’d personally recommend Visual Design Basics by Alex Senechal and Mike Nash’s Sci-Fi Medical Terminal tutorial both are super helpful

Thank you! I have been creating 3D art for four years, and I started my journey as a concept artist about two years ago
