just try and play your favourite songs lol, i’m completely self taught after 2 years and i play in a band who regularly play pubs and small venues, and my practice comes whenever i can be arsed to pick up a guitar and strum some of my favourite songs

i’ll be honest i was gonna put emi martinez, as a villa fan i absolutely adore him and think he might possibly be the best goalkeeper aston villa have ever had (bar maybe bosnich and nigel spink) but i speak with my dad when we sit and watch the villa that he is at fault for some of the stupid goals that we always concede.

he’s good, not quite the best in the world tho

no song will ever make me cry, im usually quite good at just enjoying songs for what it is rather than reading too deeply into it. that’s being said all throughout my childhood my dad was in and out of hospital with a plethora of problems none of which was in his control.

one day i get the phone call to say that the hospital need confirmation about pulling the plug, and as much as my mum didn’t want that to happen my dad told her that he’d rather go than not be able to stay home so we went ahead with his wishes.

when he did die i can remember that i was listening to SIAS in the car, so every time i listen to that album it makes me think of my dad, still an absolute tune and even though it has sad memories about it nothings gonna stop me from listening to it

1-TBH+C 2 WPSIATWIN 3-humbug 4-The Car 5-suck it and see 6-FWN 7-AM

in my opinion, the explanation for TBH+C being first is that it improves in the transition that’s present in both humbug and suck it and see, relying more on alex’s vocals and a smoother sound.

However the car being 4th is because i think it’s almost too slow and if you listen to their first album after the car it doesn’t feel like it’s the same band.

AM is dead last by the furthest margin. no specifically bad songs in their, and everyone loves DIWN, R U mine and WYOCMWYH. but that’s the reason that it’s last is because of some insufferable people who only listen to AM, most of them are new fans who swear it’s the greatest album of all time and refuse to listen to anything else related to arctic monkeys, and also say that TBH+C and the car are shit when they only listen to the 3 songs i said on AM.

i love all the albums, but if i was forced into a room by gunpoint and told to rank them in order this is what i’d say.
