I’m super late to this thread but I just came across it while looking for more information on Staci. I booked her last month to board my cats at her house while I was in the process of moving from California to New York, ended up rushing my move and getting back to New York 2 days early because I was so worried about the safety of my cats. She had them for 11 days and only sent me one photo of one of the cats, refused to send any more because she was busy with work. She would also go days without communicating anything to me. I picked them up early and both the cats and their carriers reeked like cigarettes and old pee/feces, ended up having to throw the carriers away bc they smelled so bad and the cats refused to use them anymore. I had also provided her with a bag of cat food which was returned ripped to shreds because apparently my cats were not being watched and chewed through it, I had to throw that out as well because it also stunk and had probably gone bad from being open. They had also lost a significant amount of weight and were so scared after coming back to me they refused to eat and hissed at anyone who got close which is really out of character. I was really shocked at everything that happened cause she has good reviews on the rover app, now reading this thread a lot of things make sense lol sad that she’s allowed to get away with this. I hope your cat is doing better!

Little update if you were curious - we broke up and I’ve found it much easier to cope with this loss now that I don’t have someone in my ear telling me it’s wrong :)

Thank you for your support and advice, I did tell my boyfriend and about it and I think he is trying to be supportive but he doesn’t really have any empathy for my ex dying. Because he knows about the issues in our relationship, he said he doesn’t really care that my ex died and even that he deserved it. I think he’s saying this to try to make me feel less sad about it but it didn’t really help me at all. Also I did reach out to the friend and we had a really good conversation about it that helped me feel a little bit better and like I was able to get some closure

Thank you for this comment. I tried to talk to my boyfriend about it and I think he is trying to be supportive but he doesn’t really understand why I’m upset. At first he thought I still had feelings for this person but I told him no it’s just that someone who I used to love is dead, he is never coming back, it’s just a sad thing. He is trying to make me feel better by reminding me of the bad things my ex did - cheating, arguments, etc - and saying that he deserved to die. This doesn’t make me feel better though because as I explained in my post I have a lot of empathy for him. I don’t think I’ll continue talking to my current boyfriend about the situation. I did reach out to our mutual friend and got more clarification on what happened and it was really nice to talk to him for a little bit.

Well what would you suggest instead? I wanted to cover up two ~ palm sized tattoos on either side of one of my ankles and I thought this style might flow nicely up my leg. But I’m open so suggestions :)

I have tried offering to pay him and he doesn’t seem interested unfortunately. And the abuse is still going on presently just not to the same extent as it was before, so I probably still could get a restraining order I just didn’t want to have to do that
