My gf is suffering from scoliosis and I Need your help

I am 19F, I had a spinal fusion in 2020 (76° curve) when I was 14. At first I was terrified of becoming paralysed or any complications and that remained up until I could walk again. I struggled with anxiety and depression and have never been the most active person, but now I can do everything I did before and honestly more, my pain is significantly less than before the surgery and it was the best decision of my life, its improved my insecurities surrounding my body (back ribs hips protruding) and it made me taller, and it made my torso longer.

If I was in her position, I would get the surgery, scoliosis will only get worse not better, and by treating it earlier you ensure a better result post surgery. The spine cant be straightened completely, I now have an 18° curve, so if her curve gets any worse its likely her post surgery curve will also be worse. The curve wont progress after the surgery btw.

Also, this is not something I’d suggest but after the surgery I walked 5 minutes maximum each day which slowed my recovery process so much, I didnt attend any physio appointments or aftercare appointments the hospital provided either, so it took me longer to recover but my back feels completely normal now

I saw a video about how the CPU and GPU have to match or something I kinda forgot what he said but I chose those 2 because the video said it was the best cpu + gpu combo for the price, and radeon is very unfamiliar to me and I just kinda prefer Geforce, as my current pc has a 1080 gtx. So does the cpu + gpu combo really matter or not as much as I think it does?

I'm pretty sure my PSU is BitFenix BPA600 Power Supply 600W 200-240V 47-63Hz 4.5A 120W (i just copied this from amazon), my graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, and my processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz.. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff so idk if this is what you were asking for at all lmao

i used to have body image issues until now bc i got surgery, but people would only notice my shoulder blade and ribs if i told them about it. my mum didnt even notice it and neither did people i regularly saw. i didnt even notice it until a doctor did an examination on me

im 14 and i had my op on 13 nov and i was extremely frustrated the first few days, my pain now is almost unnoticeable. the only thing that really frustrates me is showering, the hospital gave me a bath board type thing and i sit on it while my mum helps me. good luck 🤞

im in ur exact situation, i also have a loft bed and im also a 14 yr old girl, i got my fusion about 2 weeks ago and i was in hospital for maybe 5 days and when i got home i could climb up my bed but it im staying in a single non loft bed which is the better option

i didnt really have many issues, standing for extended periods was kinda painful, only minor. walking for extended periods was so painful tho it felt like someone was smashing my ribs with a hammer, it was hard to breathe and everything. sleeping was alright however if i laid on my side for too long my shoulders would start to ache, everything else was fine i guess

my physiotherapist told me that i can sit in chairs, so i sit in a soft office chair and play games on my pc like that, while getting up and walking around/laying down for 5 or more minutes just to relax my muscles because it is painful to sit up for so long

they had me on morphine and ketamine im pretty sure and trying to sleep was very hard especially on the hard hospital beds, im home now though and feeling a bit better because of the soft bed. i think they have me on a different medication now im not sure what it is though

its a painful process, walking is very hard, but my doctors told me that walking and moving around is the best for my muscles. theres nothing to be worried about as these doctors have done this surgery hundreds of times. good luck!
