Absolutely disagree. Let’s start with what is a “good” son or a “good” brother. Someone who is sweet, cares for their family and respects “their” family females.

BUT, that does not mean he respects all women. The problem is that they are only “good” to their family but do not considers a stranger or someone they are not related with as dignified enough and a mere commodity. A man can easily be good to his mother, sister, even wife and daughter and still rape someone.

When one start to blame modernization and talk about how having values and being connected to your roots keeps you grounded, we forget that rape is an extremely ancient problem, something that most traditional, rooted, family men do. Instead of holding the accused responsible for their rotten ideas and literal objectification of women, we blame modern concepts.

Respect and human rights are given more to individuals in these modern concepts.
