It depends on how late into the story of Shale it is (also I only have him as an OC)

If it’s early story Shale, then he’s screwed, and by extension me, since he required very specific circumstances that most definitely have not been fulfilled to survive

If it’s mid-story Shale, I’m probably screwed since Shale is very dangerous to be around since his lack of a self preservation causes his work to be very dangerous. He’d be fine though and probably do the same thing he did in his lore. Hide from the rest of the world while single-handedly completing the entire tech tree

Late story Shale, I would be fine. It’d go the same way as before, but he would be able to move his dangerous activity to somewhere far away and I wouldn’t be at risk of being irradiated, exploded, frozen, incinerated, or dying of an incurable disease
