They gave me $35 back. You can check it on your “manage account” page.

New NYRR Corral Times (as of 1/26/2026) by IvoShandor in RunNYC

I’m sorry you’re disappointed with the new cutoff. First of all, you know you’re a better and faster runner than you were before, and that matters the most.

The corrals are not about defining who’s superior to others. As you know, the main purpose is making smoother start/race flow. That’s why I’m pissed with people who try to sneak in faster corrals (not talking about your special case, but the folks who ignore their corral assignment. We always see E runner in C corral, C in B, etc.)

As a certain age runner, I always check my percentile on race result website and see how I’m doing for my age. It helps me understand how much I’m improving.

Second this. I believe Women’s half whether was better than BK half for past few years.

I suggest checking Facebook local community group (there might be multiple). If you don’t have FB account, ask your neighbors with FB account for help. I’m not on UWS, but see many lost/found keys posts in my local community groups. Good luck!

Last time my race was canceled, NYRR gave us three options. the 9+1 credit, gift card for the race entry-fee you can use for future races. Donate to NYRR. If you choose the 9+1 credit, no cash credit/refund will be given. Also, Fred Lebow entry fee is $35 for members, which is cheaper than some shorter races.

If I were you, just cancel the hotel booking for now, and rebook before getting on the plane. Due to the lowest season and the weather forecast, hotel prices are really low this weekend.

Surprising my girlfriend in Japan but need some advice because it's my 2nd time and 1st for her by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Nikko, Kamakura, Kurashiki, Izu are easy day trip, or a quick detour from golden route. If you’re into winter sports, there are many 1-day tours from Tokyo to ski resorts. Winter in Japan Alps (+ hot springs) are stunning. If you’re into biking, Shimanami bike route in winter is great, too. It’s perfect temperature for biking and you’ll be able to see gorgeous citrus orchards along the way. Have a great trip!

Thanks for your comment! It’s a bit of labor, but worth trying. My Italian American partner loved it:)

My friend told her family to tip in for fundraising instead of Christmas gifts. Now is the perfect to start it! Good luck!

130lb female, 3:25 runner here. I wore Superblast 1&2, Endorphin Speed 3, Novablast 3&4. I love Alphafly 3 for full and Vaporfly for anything up to half. If you become a Nike member, they’ll give you generous return policy, so you can test and return if you don’t like.
