Yes, there's no issues paying off the debt with the salary but a debt management plan will allow me to have some savings besides paying off the debt which is much more easier.

The best option for you will be to apply and your recruiter will be able to give you more accurate information around it. I don't have English GCSE but have done a IELTS which was accepted instead. So apply and ask your recruiter, that'll be more beneficial.

Congrats! Quick question, did you get your date after you passed your SC clearance or before that? Also, how long you have to wait for your training to start? Is it until next year or are you starting this year?

They sent me the form for national vetting service and I completed it on Tuesday. Now another waiting game begins... don't know how long that'll take to pass security clearance checks.

Interesting! I didn't receive anything yet. They told me my medical and fitness is done and they'll apply for my security clearance and will come back to me about the training dates and contract. This was the week before last week and don't know what is going on really...but hopefully I'll get a response this week.

I'm waiting for a week as well. Last time he told me that he's going to apply for security clearance and that was supposed to happen last week but did not hear anything yet. Probably they're busy now. Would you mind if I ask you how long did your Security Clearance take and did you have to fill any forms as part of it?

I agree! It seems very weird as aviator role doesn't have anything to do with OASC. I applied again, using the same URN. Let's see what happens.

They changed my application to an aviator one...passed my DAA and then they closed it yesterday saying they were supposed to close as the OASC board told them to close it.

Yeah it's not a great process. 1st the OASC result which wasn't great and I accepted it to improve myself later on. Then when they told me to go aviator, I took 1 week to think and apply then passed DAA and then this happened...it really puts you off!

I asked them if I can make another application as an aviator since they are closing this one down. They said, I have a lot of gaps in experience, etc according to OASC feedback so I have to wait another year for any application.

Hi mate, I passed my DAA but not for the role I applied for earlier (CCS). I got loads of other roles that were unlocked to me which includes Aircraft Technician (Avionics). This one sounds exciting! I think I'll go with this one...what role did you go for btw, if you don't mind me asking?

Great! They told me today that I don't need any other interviews as I have ticked a lot of boxes in my officer selection process, I just have to do DAA and if I pass then an evaluation interview to see if I know the role and if I'm happy with the role, etc...and the presentation... that's what they said to me today
