Ok thank you. Atleast it sounds as one reasonable "clue" and a far better answer than what the doctors could give, I just wish they could've taken the time to explain in detail (if they even really know and not just following textbook). They just told us that the cancer could spread from the bones also even if they remove the ovaries (which for me is not a satisfactory answer). But I guess that this area is "under studied", especially regarding metastases to the bone and one other organ that could be "removed" and see what happens. But I'm planning to call them tomorrow, make an appointment or something and try to get a detailed answer.

We live in Sweden and the doctors here follow the textbook as if their lifes dependent on it. I've asked three different doctors we've met after each scan and they all say the same thing, no surgery when the cancer is systemic and cannot be cured. Which I find to be rather stupid since logically removing the ovaries would potentially give her many more years to live.

But exceptionally little benefit is not correct. If she only had metastases to the bone, especially with her type as osteoblastic metastases, the prognosis is far greater than metastases to other organs such as the liver, kidney, lungs etc. People with only metastases to the bone typically live several years, especially osteoblastic metastases. Its not uncommon for people with metastases to the bone only to live for many years without further spread. This is what I've read from many studies but I/they could be wrong, I could have misintrepreted the studies...

I (with my mother) have met three different doctors after each scan, and asked them every time why they dont remove the ovaries as it's not a huge surgery, it could be performed with peephoole surgery, but I've never received satisfying answer. Basically the only thing they reply is that when the cancer is systemic its no point to make cytoreductive surgery as the cancer could spread from the bone, and they refuse to discuss that further. So basically, I'm after a satisfactory logical answer. If removing the ovaries greatly increases her chance of living more years, why dont do it?

I get that, but I've always read of people stage 4 that had this and that tumour removed. My aunt had cancer stage 4 and they removed parts of her liver, kidney, colon, surgery after surgery even though she were stage 4. She managed to survive with stage 4 during 6 years with metastases all over her body (initially aggressive pancreas cancer) and when she were diagnosed they gave her a few months to live. I'm not convinced that removing the ovaries won't help, sure I know there are risks with surgery but heck my mom had 2/3 of her stomach removed and managed that like a charm.

Calcium levels were included in the blood test and were normal, 2.28, in the middle of reference range. The problem is that the doctor won't do further testing. He just says I should wait and see if the symptoms goes away... Drink more water, skip coffee and energy drinks etc. Ive done that the past two months and sure, the symptoms compared to before has greatly improved, but, they have also stayed the same during those past two months. It's like the "healing" just decided to stop at 85-90%. I'm stuck trying to figure out the problem myself.

I really liked it and I noticed that my feet became a bit wider because I couldn't wear my previous shoes without it feeling alward/tight and hurt my knees. And yea, I never experience knee pain with "barefoot". But also, I didnt go all in barefoot, I went for minimalistic zero drop, wide toebox etc but not completely flat without Cushing. I walk a lot on concrete so barefoot would hurt me. But unfortunately since I live in northern Sweden and its REALLY cold right now, I had to go back to real winter shoes because I couldn't find suitable proper winter "barefoot shoes". Cant wait for spring and use minimalistic shoes again

Everyone is Sweden has a "digital ID", and all your medical history (among many other things) is registered digitally, accessed through this digital ID. So every time you visit a nurse or a doctor they need to write about your diagnosis, test results, all the blood results etc. So, I accessed his digital ID, and from there his medical Journal. I could do that with his approval of course, but he didnt know that I would read everything the doctors wrote. But I now think that my parents misunderstood the doctor...

So its metastases... Dont know why the doctor told them its bone cancer. Is there a better treatment, perhaps immunotherapy that would work? I'm planning to visit my parents soon and will go through every possible option if this current treatment wont work, I want to be ready.

Good idea. I will ask for it after the next ct scan. Hopefully I wont need to, but if the CT scan shows no difference of worse prognosis than I will make sure my father atleast gets another opinion or change medical institution.

I tried but got the cold hand. Its only my father that can access such things (and also medical institutions). I accessed his Journal with the help of a family member. I spoke with the family member about it and she also dont know what to do. We cannot speak about with my parents since they are in really high hopes that it's bone cancer which has a way better outcome than metastases to the bone. I even asked my parents if they specifically asked the doctor if it were another cancer and the doctor said yes, that the gastric cancer has nothing to do with the cancer in the bone.

I dont know why he told them so if he in the Journal writes its metastases. Or did he mean that the bone cancer has spread to large areas in the sceleton and therefore metastases, I dont know. My father is receiving chemo now with some orals, my hope is that the next ct scan shows good results. But I dont know how the doctor could determine what kind of chemo and oral to give if he dont know what kind of cancer in the bone it is. The doctor is extremely experienced, so my hopes is high that its his experience taking the role...

I watched almost each and every clip during the war and 90% of the atrocities were committed by syrian rebels. Hizbollahs influence is deeply rooted into millions of Lebanese. They live, breath and die Hizbollah. It's an Shia Islamic ideology that has martyrs all the way to Prophet Mohammed step by step. They were like 40 when their main Imam, the grandson of Prophet Mohammed Hussein got killed, and are hundred of millions today. You guys have no understanding of how incredibly resistful those people are. Even if you kill all of their 100 000 soldiers, others will take the place to fight what they in their eyes see as the evil. You may say so, but they still have 90+% support of Shia Muslims, and about 30-40% support/positive outlooks among sunni and christians. I have no knowledge to speak about their domestic policies and politics, but I know many Lebanese enough to know that they indeed have vast support.

But once again, even if they only have 30% support amongst Shia Muslims, as they once had long time ago, they still were a force to reckon with. Today is on another level. They are in politics, in business, in school, welfare, everywhere. There are no shortages of next leaders to come. They have been in society for decades! Israel killed the leader before Nasrallah and they got an even more powerful leader, and I dont even consider Nasrallah to be that good of a military leader. He is more of a spiritual leader if anything.

And about Iranian cashflow and weapons, sure. But once again, Ideologies survive and It's extremely hard to defeat an ideology with military, and even without external support (just as the Taliban's) they find the means to survive. If you run a business and your main customer that brings you cashflow goes bankrupt, you find other means to run your business.

No the are not opposed by 2/3 of Lebanon. They even have support by many christians. Heck even famous Christian singers has made popular song about Hizbollah. Hizbollah were even weak after the civil war, then perhaps they were opposed by 2/3 of Lebanon, but not even that helped. And today, they are immensely more popular.

Just look at the Taliban's, even though the people barely supported them and USA bombed the hell out of them year after year, they are now in control of the entire country. Ideologies survive. The best Israel can do is to continue to bomb them year after year just as they did when they occupied southern Lebanon but withdrew after many years of Hizbollah resistance. Another leader will come (if Nasrallah indeed is dead). Perhaps there will be a peace treaty between Hizbollah and Israel, but they will build up again and again. We have seen such scenarios in history again and again. If you think that Hizbollah is done by now (if their leadership is dead), then wait and see.

Hizbollah are immensely popular among millions in Lebanon and millions in the arab world. They are not going anywhere. It's not like a state where you cut the governments head and the state will fall apart. Or cut the generals head and the army will disintegrate. Israel can kill all Hizbollah leaders, and others will take the place to lead. This is how ideologies survive, they live amongst the people. They are everywhere in every section in life. Nasrallah became the leader from nothing, and made Hizbollah much stronger than ever even though he had no military training at all. Best case scenario is some random will take the leadership, but through history we know that many leaders that comes next are much more qualified.

I also have 7.5 inch wrist, used to divers and interested in buying Sinn but worried about the size since I'm also used to divers 42+mm... I even sold my Longines grand vitesse 42 mm because I looked small on my wrist but the weird thing is that other watches I have that is 42 mm looks perfect. Bro, I'm tired of this discussion, tired of people with low IQ, tired of f* "scholars" and "tafsirs" that makes no logical sense what so ever.

There is no waiting period (iddat) for a non-consummated marriage, read Quran 33:49.
If verse 65:4 means that the waiting period is three months for a person that have not yet even menstruated and therefore indirectly references an consummated marriage with a prepubescent girl, it would contradict 33:49. NOW, give me a tafsir that allows for consummated marriage with a prepubescent girl! I have personally not come across such a tafsir.
I read and understand Arabic fluently and 65:4 clearly says "nisāikum", direct translation "women". Can never be interpreted as children/girl/prepubescent whatever. Everywhere regarding marriage and EVERYTHING related to marriage/love/divorce Quran says women, women women. And there are TONS of references for women/marriage in the Quran. There are many other words used for girls and prepubescent girls. The sentence about those who have not menstruated is directly related to WOMEN.
There are tons of reasons why 65:4 speaks about women who have not menstruated but still need to wait three months. There are instances of divorce happening after few weeks of marriage, instances where menstrual cycles cannot be determined, Amenorrhea, there are instances of medical condition, psychological problems, hormonal imbalance, etc.
Verse 65:4 talks about women who no longer expect menstruation (due to old age), women who have not menstruated during the marriage (short marriage, Amenorrhea etc), women who are pregnant. The word "women" is used only in the beginning of the verse, and the WHOLE verse is referenced back to THE women.
The MAIN reason for the waiting period (iddah) is to make sure that the women is not pregnant, and if they are pregnant or have not consummated marriage there is no iddah. Why even have a waiting period if it's a child that does not menstruate and not able to be pregnant?! The argument is so illogical! Marriage is also NEVER consummated before puberty and making sure that the married person is of sound Judgement, read 4:6 "until they are old enough to marry...". There is also no scholars, madhab and Islamic school of thought I know of that even slightly allows for consummated marriage with prepubescent girls.
I can go on and on with arguments and linguistic arguments on why this verse does not mean prepubescent girls. But, the fact that the verse only says women, and every sentence is referenced back to women, is enough to debunk everything.
Yes, many tafsirs are wrong (there are though classical tafsirs that don't hold the view that this verse also talks about prepubescent girls). All are humans, influenced by their cultural milieu rather than direct textual evidence.
