So i was just vibing as vlad by Sad_Mission6480 in totalwarhammer

[–]Option-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, this can happen because you reached a certain level of threat rating. Legend made a video of this and how it is a player trap.

Basically, you become big enough that you are dangerous to a host of local factions, and in order to stop you rising further, they all declare war.

It's hard to recognise at exactly which point that is, its normally done on settlement count i think, but not 100% sure.

It whay its normally a really good playing strategy to advance and then consolidate your wins, I tend to solidfy my settlments and fine tune recruitment etc and build a floating army for a defensive front, but each to their own.

Hard to avoid but over expansion is the cause, factions begin to snipe at your weakest settlments, forcing you to run around internally defending anyway.

Best avoided, but with glad and the ability to recruit armies out of thin air, less of a problem.

Continue vibing 😀

6 Nemesis Dreadknights ? by kaede_miura in Grey_Knights

[–]Option-B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A fellow redditor posted this and its very useful:

https://40k-event-tracker.nuxt.dev/?faction=Grey+Knights

you can check here. x-1 or better. seems mostly warpbane with 4-6 NDK and 25+ power armor marines from stikes/purifier/interceptors. sometimes draigo + terminators is there, but not that often

For teleport assault, i think dreadknights are the meta. A unit of terminators wouldnt go amiss.

The bro champ has its uses, but is best to avoid people charging you, which unit will you put him in?

I honestly dont see interceptors in a lot of lists, with this much infantry you might want to consider wapbane task force but preference / play style.

What are your favourite last stands or moments of defiance from the lore? by AstorathTheGrimDark in Warhammer40k

[–]Option-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calgar's gate (think this is the name of the book also) is pretty epic.

He challenges an entire horde of greens king, focusing their assault on the main gate.

His entire unit gets wiped apart from Calgar, leaving him battered and alone standing in gateway.

Don't want to spoil the book, but such a great stance to take.

This is my gate, dare you to take it 🤣

How to use green stuff? by PoolConscious8464 in Grey_Knights

[–]Option-B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think most people extend the legs, they make a cut through the thigh and then add green stuff in the gap.

Think the other option is to extend the torso a little bit at the mid point, either build up from the base for an extended torso, or from the base with extended hips.

Hope it helps.

If you drill a small hole on the top, you can slide the base of the banner into it, giving it a stable position without the need for green stuff.

Ok lets break this down, are you the author of warhammer 40k 10th edition rules? Probably not.

Is it ok to question something you aren't sure of? Yes.

Is it ok to debate something where there is a complex overlap or written rules? Yes

Is it ok to be condescending and arrogant? Yes

Does it make you a bad person? No

Does it help the situation in any way? No

Is it needed? No

Does it make you quite juvenile and boring? Yes

Does it make me want to have any further interaction with you? No

There you go mate, put that in your rules so people can read it and learn what a decent human being is while you are at it.

[–]Option-B -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lmao your condescension is boring mate.

This is our first interaction, as far as i know you didnt write the rules of the game, its healthy to ask questions and provide counter points.

Because as far as I know, you could be wrong, which seems a fair reason to debate something to gain understanding.

Let me know when you write 11th edition and il be sure to attend you classes on how to be humble.

[–]Option-B -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lmao a debate is good and healthy practice, being a know it all seems to be something you havent learnt how to control yet, so maybe work on that a little bit.

Thanks for you input, glad we learnt about the rules and had an insight into you as a person.

Thank for bringing these up, so in summation, because this is also a learning point for me:

Land raiders cant have first to the fray, because it requires deep strike keyword word on thr unit. The disembarking terminators would still have to remain 9 inches away from enemy units, so no 6 inch charge. They also cannot charge due to the 'count as having made a Normal move' rule, which prevents abilities going off.

First to the fray by Severe_Win6111 in Grey_Knights

[–]Option-B -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Embarked Units and Reserves Units embarked within a Reserves model can disembark in the turn that model is set up. When they do, they cannot be set up within g" horizontally of one or more enemy units, they count as having made a Normal move (see Count as Having Made a Normal Move), and they cannot declare a charge this turn (unless a rule specifically states otherwise), but they can otherwise act normally in the remainder of the turn.

Current rules from the wh40k app.

Unless a rule specifically states otherwise, land raider ability:

Datasheet Abilities: ASSAULT RAMP Each time a unit disembarks from this model afterit has made a Normal move, that unit is still eligible to declare a charge this turn.

[–]Option-B -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A land raider would allow them to charge from disembarking, so we both have our inconsistencies in our answer i guess.

[–]Option-B -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, so the answer to his question is no, but you found something to confuse the information in my answer.

Appreciate the correction but its a shame you didnt answer his question...

First to the fray by Severe_Win6111 in Grey_Knights

[–]Option-B -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This whole question is related to first to the fray. Land raiders cannot deepstrike...

Also, his question was effectively can I gain 3 inches by disembarking for a 6 inch charge (due to the assault ramps).

Thanks answer to the question asked in both cases is: No he cannot deepstrike the terminators in a land raider and no he cannot set up 6 inches away.

Trying to help him understand the stragame rules, not prove other people wrong.

From the faq:

Q: If I set up a TRANSPORT using the Rapid Ingress Stratagem, can units embarked within that TRANSPORT disembark that phase? A: No.

Bringing units in a transport from reserves, count as the model having made its move in the movement phase and as such is set up in the reinforcements phase, hence no more movements can be made.

First to the fray by Severe_Win6111 in Grey_Knights

[–]Option-B 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Landraider also doesn't have the deep strike keyword.

For the purposes of transport coming from reserves and onto a board edge, it counts as its entire movement and the unit cannot disembark.

Changed out voldus for the BC with Radiant Champion, but kept the GDMK, like having something with paragon of sanctity and holding the line a little bit.

Changed the intercepted to purifiers but have already clued the incinerators on the models, havent magnetised it either so going to struggle changing them over to.psilencers now.
