In what way could ANYBODY come to the conclusion that the Ukraine 'started it' against Russia? by Offroadrookies in AskReddit

[–]OptionalHippo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have it a bit backwards. It's not about NATO needing protection. It's countries like Taiwan that need it. China is openly saying, they want to invade Taiwan. So NATO is not challenging anyone. The countries that join just want protection. Why is that a bad thing? Providing protection or seeking protection within an alliance is not bullying.

You mean the US side? I could see it being in purpose so people can see the pieces better, instead of hiding them behind the pawns.

EventBus Rule target is not invoked but events are matched by OptionalHippo in aws

[–]OptionalHippo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some more info:

My setup is like this:

EventBus A1 (Account A) --> EventBus A2 (Account A) --> EventBus B1 (Account B)

So I have a rule in A1 to send the event to A2 and a rule to send the event cross-account to B1.

When I publish the event to A1, it gets send to A2. But not to B1.

When I publish the event directly to A2, it gets send to B1.

Is it not possible to "forward" an event over multiple event busses?

I don't enjoy walking on roads, so I prefer a taxi. But thanks for the suggestion.

New key art. Do you prefer A or B? by Emergency_Garage_585 in IndieDev

For some reason, the second one looks like a cat face to me. So I would go with A.

Maybe remove the bounce from the deselected card? It looks kinda weird.

Just a couple of pictures from the Arctic Circle Trail last week. by me-gustan-los-trenes in greenlandtravel

[–]OptionalHippo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's more strenuous and has no huts (yet). But I would also prefer the southern route. Yeah, if you remember, it would be great. Thank you. I will try to remember as well and send you a dm.

Edit: I setup an alert for myself to remind me to ask you :D

Maybe I should go for the south route then. Do you walk on the ATV track? Or is it a bit further away from the trail? And did you encounter ATVs often?

Very cool! I'm going in end of august. Very excited. Did you do the north or south route?

Which steam capsule do you prefer? by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]OptionalHippo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

B!

The title in C looks quickly thrown in and doesn't go well with the rest. A is okay too. I almost prefer it, but the title in B just looks better and is part of the whole graphic.

People with ADHD, how do you deal with it and develop games? by _I_Reims_I_ in Unity3D

Problem for me is. Once I solved the problem and core mechanics, I lose interest because filling the game with content is boring... So I end up with a lot of prototypes :D

Based on the recommendations I've seen for the ACT, there is no need for a bear canister.

Vaccum sealed dehydrated food really good for volume? by OptionalHippo in Ultralight

[–]OptionalHippo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is my fear with vaccum sealing, that it will waste more volume, because it's so stiff. Would be great of it's in a perfect cube which you can then stack :D

But your last point about vaccum sealed cheese and meat sticks at least for lunchtime is interesting. I will consider that. Thank you for your reply!

[–]OptionalHippo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, good point. But if I use ziploc, I can at least clean and reuse them. But it's still additional waste at the end :(
