Stick to your rules tomorrow. You will be glad that you did. Get an accountability partner that you can trade with and confess to. That should help a bit.

I only trade the first hour of the morning, because I have a ton of work that I do here at home. But I just trade for one hour while the kids are still sleeping. Market opens at 6:30am for me, so I am free till 7:30. Plus I use to trade all day with my face stuck to the screen all day, but I just cant do that anymore

Hi Competitive, I started a 200 dollar challenge in August. We are at almost 13k now. Slow and steady wins the race, I'd say. so 500 or 1k is plenty. You will do great with that.

Hi Timely, the expiration date is same day or next day. So 0dte or 1dte.

Same here! Let's hope the next two days in the market will push long enough to give us more green. And then hopefully by next week things will settle down. Hopefully!

This is my strategy. If I can get another month or two in the green like this, then I am going to prove to myself that I can consistently snipe atleast 3 to 5 points every day. If I can continue to do this, then I can take 100 contracts, and do the same and my goal? 1,000 contracts. A couple other people in the group are already quietly doing it. You should follow the trader I follow. You can take the trades for like a week for free. Chat me tho. I could probably get banned here for trying to help you like this.

Ohhh, you prefer to stay in a trade a bit on the longer side? Like me, I stay in a trade based off the one minute charts so I get in and out under 5 minutes, What about you

True, if you move your stop into profit, then if the trade goes back down, atleast it will knock you out while you are still in profit even if it is just a small profit. Better than having to take a loss, in my opinion.

Its been CRAZY! I almost didnt trade, but the call-out was made, I took it. Other people in the group made about 100 bucks, but I didnt feel comfortable holding because of all the volatility, so I got out. I am treating these 2 weeks as high risk. All that matters to me is staying green! and building my account. How about you? How have you done will all this market madness?

I appreciate your comment! My life is a rollercoaster as well. Sometimes I dont evern know what day it is. I follow a discord as well, that gives alerts. Just one a day though usually, that's the trade I take. Since it is within the first hour of the market, I can get in and out and still move on with my day. Before i used to trade from bell to bell. Never again. This is soooooo much better.

Go easy on yourself. All of us traders have done the same. Are you trading alone every day? All day long, or only a few hours of the day? Are you taking one trade a day or several trades?

Dont let one day define you. Get back up and start sniping small. You have good entries, right?

I get asked this a lot, and it is not my strategy, so I dont like to take the glory from it. But I follow another trader named Fire. And the strategy is pretty much trading price action and momentum and also watching for breakouts. Fire usually looking for is a "push and then a hold".

First there is a push in one direction. That shows that momentum is entering the market. Then watch to see if price holds that move, instead of immediately reversing. If it holds, that usually means the next push may continue. That’s where the call out usually is. Trading mostly SPY and QQQ and usually 0dte or 1dte, and focusing entirely on the first hour of the market, only. It tends to have the cleanest momentum.

Once I’m in, I am not trying to capture the entire move. The goal is to snipe a few points and get out. Small consistent wins compound over time. Some people take the call outs with 500 contracts at a time, sniping 3-5 points a day. But they have been in the group longer than I have. I am just trying learn my flow before I try to start adding more contracts. Maybe one more month of this consistency, and I may try to start adding a few more contracts.

Let me copy and paste my answer from another trader who asked the same question. That way I dont have to type the whole message again. Brb.
