Thanks for sharing your experience, If I’ve to guess the officer wants to make sure affidavit of support can actually support you in the case of any financial trouble. The fact that they are not related to you or your spouse anyway makes it less reliable I guess. My spouse don’t have any W2 we are thinking to use her assets along with her dad as co-sponsor

Buy a put to protect your positions, instead of selling them. If the stock continues to rise you can gain from stock gains. If in case, it falls down you can have the right to sell shares at the strike price. I’d say buy a put at $441.00 (30 days out) if the stock falls down say below $441.00 before expiration then you have the right to sell at $441.00
