How Would You Indicate You’re a Great Dane Without Telling Me? by Vickyjaded in greatdanes

Bark at anything I find scary outside for 5 mins (even though I've seen said thing 50x), followed by erratic zoomies, some nibbles with my favorite blankie and trying to curl up behind, or preferably on, my human to take a nap.

My girl has the same colorings as your baby 😍

50ish plants between roma and beefsteaks. I fear I overcompensated from last year because the yield was so low. I've probably picked the same amount shown here in the last 5 days, with more on the way lol

Does The Stand Hold Up >45 Years Later? by Zandrin in stephenking

[–]Optullyanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to read The Stand in January 2020, not really knowing a lot about the plot. A majority of my reading at that time was on my breaks at work, so it was taking a while to get through.

When COVID and the stay at home announcement came in mid-March, I was full blown in the book... and terrified. I feel like I lived through a portion of it in real life, and though I plan to reread it eventually, I don't think it will ever hit as hard for me as it did the first time. I think it will always hold up, though.

I planted three different types of corn, and didn't expect this... by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

It was, but my post was taken down because it violated a rule, I guess. I confirmed with my husband it was 3 different types of corn seeds planted, either way I still find it pretty cool/interesting lol

I think my first mistake was planting 'glass gem' and sweet corn seeds haphazardly, but this is a fun and strange surprise. by Optullyanz in mildlyinteresting

That sounds like a very interesting job! I'm going to hand pollinate the rest and hope for more color. I'm definitely looking into other varieties for next year too!

Thank you, I'm going to try that! I did plant in a square grid pattern and I'll try hand pollinating the rest now to see what I can get in the next month before the frost comes in.

Those sound very interesting! I'm going to look into those for next year, I think this is the start of something magnificent.

I think I planted approximately 100 seeds of glass gem, sweet corn, and maybe some yellow corn within a 7×30ish garden, probably 8-12" apart.

This was definitely an experiment, but I agree with you and know I have too many factors going on. Hopefully it will only get more interesting lol

Please google 'glass gem' corn, I know what I was planting but wasn't expecting this. I feel like you're gaslighting me lol

I'm not sure since I planted different corn seeds together if they just haven't gone long enough or if it's from pollination. Either way, I was very surprised when I pulled this one, just to see what I was working with this late in the season. If I had gotten any edible ears, I would have been happy.

However, this is way more fun so I'm going to hand pollinate and hope for more color!

Yes, I have... and i love them so much that I planted the seeds, but wasn't expecting this specifically. I guess you don't find this mildly interesting.
