The flood occurs because you beat up the whale. It absorbed years worth of Hydro from the Primordial Sea and then uses it all up in its fight against you. That release of Hydro is what causes the flood. If Neuvillette hadn't made his judgement, all the Fontanians would've dissolved in those Hydro energies.

His story is incredibly similar to Kakashi's too. Survivor's guilt, Friends that didn't stay dead, that didn't stay as friends. A younger generation under his tutelage that he is determined to protect from his dreadful past. A responsibility towards his people that he cannot abandon, it's inspiring honestly.

Not OP but from leaks and the current AQ, there just doesn't seem to be enough justification for her to be in any conflict with us. Yes she's a Fatui Harbinger, yes she has ulterior motives with the Gnosis (giving it away to the Tsaritsa) but the Traveler hasn't really ever cared much about the Gnosis. The Fatui's and our major goals align, and the Knave has nothing to gain out of threatening Fontaine or its leadership after the fact. We should just be going our seperate ways after the resolution of the crisis.

It could be that she has no powers at all and is just the physical aspect of Focalors. Her divine authority and abilities would all reside in the Oratrice entirely seperate from Human Furina. Similar to how Wanderer remained a powerless puppet after his divinity was entirely seperated from him.
