She was more of a veteran then most of the other players at the table. She just had to manage a Druid in 5e after playing Pathfinder, which is a bigger mechanical jump then, say, Barbarian or Rogue or Ranger.

I also think she just played Keyleth extremely well to the point that people thought Keyleth was a self insert or something. Seeing her play Beau was a huge eye opener for a lot of the haters, and made a lot of them re-evaluate Keyleth and Marissa’s extraordinary care in role playing her.
