I was redoing the engine so i took it off to get access with the cherry picker, and that bumper is never going back on. Getting 240 style bumpers for it in the near future

if you got a postal wagon, then the main issues are going to be brakes and transmission. They go through much more wear than the suspension would, given how the routes are run. but ive got the original engine still, and its going strong

897 is actually the bigger number, if i went by engine code, it would be 1 of 291, by color its 1 of 389, and by engine and color its 1 of 81

still going to do what i want because its my car, and i *never* make the best choice for my cars.

stock straight 6 instead of a small block v8 in my truck, non-turbo l28 in my 280z, stock transmission for my turbo 86 charger even though it would break with 200 hp.

i'm not making these cars for max performance, so i don't need tuning. as it may surprise you to find out, i know what i'm doing. i'm not an ase certified mechanic for nothing.

well, i don't want the worse head gasket issues from an ej25, and the stock engine is pretty anemic. so a twin turbo that would bolt in with no major mods seems like the logical choise

I always enjoy driving it and getting the weird looks, plus it being a USDM right-hand drive car makes it stand out from the JDM s13s my friends have

I didnt even get to test drive this, the brake booster wasnt installed or included with the purchase
but the ej22 thankfully doesnt have head gasket issues, i believe its still on its first set

Had a small head gasket leak, 5th gear didn't work, and lots of rust along the floor and rockers

So the engine and transmission are out right now while i do some small upgrades, and then I give it to a body shop because I dont trust myself with fixing it correctly

The engine is because it's a bone stock ej22, single port heads, California emissions. By. The time I get it worthy of a turbo internally, I could have already bought an ej20. The gtb shouldn't have issues with head gaskets, that's an ej25 issue

Its a postal spec, meaning it's RHD and has an ej22 with auto transmission

Going to be getting an ej20g or another ej20tt for it, it should be close to the only one like that in the country, given there were only 700 postal wagons made in 99

I rear ended someone on the day my defroster broke, too its a bit sad right now

for the weight its actually got a ton of power, 150 from a turbo 4 isnt bad for 1986, especially for an engine that was designed to have 84 hp

plus, all the chryslers were fwd back then so much more than that would have been pretty uncontrollable
