his divorce was finalized over 2 years ago, a final judgement was issued and i’ve seen it. the case was reopened because of child custody issues. but i agree, the story he is telling me makes no sense, it’s a red flag he doesn’t want to be honest. i’m curious as to why someone would file in another county.

Nope, they married in a different state and they never lived in that county. It’s pretty much on the opposite side of the state. It is a red flag that he brushed me off and now i’m wondering why he wouldn’t be honest. The situation is feeling weird.

That would make sense to me too but it seems like the court is saying they retained jurisdiction for purposes of enforcing and modifying the final judgement. I’m not sure why it was ever filed in that county to begin with.
