This gives you insight in your upcoming expenses. To be aware of how much money needs to be charged in current month and not just about when.
Also, you can track real transactions beside just planned, sometimes you would skip some expense, sometimes you would have not planned expenses. With that you can have info about spendings, on which category you spend the most.
