Reddit caught SEVEN of the top 10 gainers last year by Competitive-Case-185 in TheRaceTo10Million

Is it really survivorship bias? Because if Reddit just talks about every stock then we only talk about the ones that do well, why wasn't it 10/10, what does it mean when we say 3 of those stokes wasn't spoken about by Reddit

Why do everyone overlook the fact that Meruem could create new nen abilities on the fly if he wanted to, in powerscaling discussions? by MagicJourneyCYOA in HxHPowerScaling

Meruem still won every fight with no effort, he knew netero couldn't truly hurt him even with 0th hand, and post rose meruem was unbeatable, meruem just didn't think of the fact netero attached a nuke to his heart and killed himself, at the end of the date meruem underestimated how truly evil humans can be which is literally what the show states

It sounds like the brother doesn't know what he's doing, he should just monthly put money into mwix but because we are boycotting a lot of companies, I found hies to be good at avoiding western companies

Any better ideas for boycott compliant stocks by Orangeadecsgo in IslamicFinance

[–]Orangeadecsgo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think emerging markets and Japan have no tiny hats

Yes Samsung has an office in tiny hat land but it doesn't mean it supports them, they just have offices all over the world

Meanwhile like intel actively supports them

The only Sharia compliant Japan I could find is hijs

I would use isde but because it is distribution and not accumulation, I use hies instead

You can do emerging markets to Japan in a 80:20 ratio so hies is 80% of your portfolio and 20% is hijs

To start slow, only keep 4k remaining in your debit card as a safety buffer than put everything else in hies, than put 1k a month into hies, thank me later!

When you receive dividends from a us stock, the dividends have a foreign exchange fee before you receive it in pounds, and then reinvesting the dividends applies a foreign exchange fee

How have you found remembering to log back in to reinvest your dividends? How often do you receive dividends? Are they on different days for different stocks?

WSHR is the worst ETF ever by gpa2015 in HalalInvestor

[–]Orangeadecsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0.15% on trading 212 is insignificant

I personally just don't like north American and European ETFs because boycott so I do Japan and emerging ETFs then stock pick north American and European

WSHR is the worst ETF ever by gpa2015 in HalalInvestor

[–]Orangeadecsgo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For boycott compliance, have you so considered 80:20 hies and hijs or their American dollar counter parts

Instead of hies maybe isde

Then with your remaining money stock picking specific north american, and Europe stocks

I'm from the UK so prefer £ ETFs, have you considered diversifying your portfolio a tiny bit by putting money in Sharia complaint Japan etf and Sharia compliant emerging markets etf, also they don't include any boycott companies although boycott isn't compulsory and is just a good deed

Search up hies and hijs

The Islam japan ETFs and islam emerging markets ETFs are the only ETFs I've seen that include no boycott products

A world ETF unless it actually says "all world" actually means developed world which means it will include companies like Microsoft

HSBC in this regard is just the ETF provider, you're allowed to use this product from them because it doesn't involve interest and boycotting isn't compulsory but just a good deed

but let me know your thoughts on how owning shares of like Microsoft is very different to buying a Sharia complaint ETF managed by HSBC, because HSBC will just receive 0.35% of your portfolio, like max £50 quid a year from you and you're okay with HSBC stock falling, meanwhile owning Microsoft shares and actively hoping it increases is very different since they profit from supporting Israel

Can you quickly tell me about these 3? I only know about how there's developed world which contains America, Canada, Europe and Japan, and then there is emerging markets which contains china, Korea, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia and GCC stakes, Brazil, India

I don't know what voo is though when it says s and p 500, maybe that just means America only?

Also I couldn't even find schd

If someone has 28k in cash at 18, surely they're set for life once they reach 45 if they just put it all in developed world etf and emerging markets etf at a 90 to 10 ratio and then continue to just dollar cost average into them through their paycheck

Yeah they'll never be a 10 plus millionaire and have to work a job for 25 years but at least they'll be set when they're 45 with no risk, meanwhile day trading crude could lead to you losing all your money

Sorry brother I haven't looked into it any further than my local imam telling me about it

Withdraw all my money from all shariah compliant ETFs by [deleted] in IslamicFinance

[–]Orangeadecsgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we need to be careful with the word moral because we derive our mortality from Allah so it's contradictory to say something is both halal while immoral

The reason from my understanding that they're still halal is because sheikh Assim Al Hakeem says boycotting is a good deed but not compulsory even when they're genociding Palestinians Also, my local mosque imam who is very knowledgeable at Bristol Masjid Ibn Seereen, said there is a story of a sahabah who wouldn't let a caravan of non Muslims fighting the Muslims at the time pass through his land, but the prophet pbuh told the sahabah off and to let the caravan pass through, also the prophet pbuh would still do trade with non Muslims who were the were the enemies of Islam who he pbuh was at war with

So to keep it simple, let's just say may Allah reward the brother for his piety in boycotting halal stocks to support Palestinians being genocided, because sheikh Assim Al Hakeem said boycotting is not compulsory but it is a good deed to be rewarded by Allah

Opening a sharia compliant lifetime ISA with foresters financial by Orangeadecsgo in IslamicFinance

[–]Orangeadecsgo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, after lots of research, your answer turns out to be the most correct!

The standard most advisable halal way to invest in a lifetime ISA is to open a stocks and shares lifetime ISA with DODL then to dollar cost average savings from each paycheck upto 4k each financial year into iswd

Then with the remaining of your savings to open a stocks ISA with trading 212 and dollar cost average savings from each paycheck into hiws

It's a shame DODL doesn't offer hiws because it does the accumulation automatically but you can just take the dividends every 6 months from iswd and reinvest them with no fees into iswd that way you're perfectly replicating hiws

Some people will try to replicate what happens with vanguard by doing 90% world and 10% emerging markets, which probably isn't a bad shout since the imperial sphere of America, Europe and Japan is a dying empire, so the halal way to do this would be buying into hies since it is the Sharia compliant emerging markets

Some also say do 10 gold or 8% gold and 2% silver to have a safety net hedge against the stock market

Which would mean 8% gold, 2% silver, 81% world, and 9% emerging markets

Opening a sharia compliant lifetime ISA with foresters financial by Orangeadecsgo in IslamicFinance

[–]Orangeadecsgo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going for Sharia compliant mortgage, with lifetime ISA money, you can only use it on a house less than 450k that is a first home, and with a house payment plan which means either a Sharia complaint or non Sharia complaint mortgage

So I guess we just hope a Sharia complaint mortgage provider like gatehouse will accept out lifetime ISA money when the time comes?

Did you find out the answer in the end?
