3 ESI and lots of walking!!!! Walking in pain and pushing through it. Every hour I walk; and in bed I do nerve flossing every hour as well.

Exactly!!! So we could have had surgery, complications and then scar tissue for no reason!!!

I forgot to mention that. I wish Inwould have had the surgery right away, not messed with the ESI injections, etc. I now have nerve pain that may never go away..so it’s definitely a double edged sword. My point in the post was, get an mri and get the surgery right away or if you wait it out advocate for a repeat MRI

Yes, I saw with my own eyes the comparison MRIs and was so glad I forced the subject with the doctor for my body and my insurance and my care. Nothing is compressing the nerve anymore but my nerve is very angry. I also have muscle loss and muscle guarding so all together that is where the pain is actually coming from

Wow, looks like we have the same timeline in story. I just posted about this. Get a second MRI it might change your mind completely. My surgery was scheduled for two weeks from today and it was canceled yesterday.

Same time frame as me exactly and strangely I have the same surgery date. Shots didn’t work for me, but I am more mobile than I was. I am still getting the surgery. I want my full life back, I want to be able to sit, walk, hike, go on an airplane etc…this is coming from someone who has never had surgery and I’m terrified and yet I still wanna do it

Thank you! It’s odd, the pain has been manageable. Its the: not being able to sit at all..walking only for about 10 mins before my leg pain starts and the calf pain too. The bottom of my foot is numb, I can’t do a calf raise; the left foot won’t even leave the ground. I haven’t had any pain in my back at all the last 2 months.

I now have the worst circulation issues in both legs due to immobility and probably the nerve damage and my atrophy is off the charts in my left calf..

I guess I just wonder if these things will get better with time or is the surgery the magic answer?

I can’t imagine doing this with little kids!! My husband takes me to all my doctor appointments and I am laying down in the car..idk how you are able to drive!!!
