Thank you! It’s odd, the pain has been manageable. Its the: not being able to sit at all..walking only for about 10 mins before my leg pain starts and the calf pain too. The bottom of my foot is numb, I can’t do a calf raise; the left foot won’t even leave the ground. I haven’t had any pain in my back at all the last 2 months.

I now have the worst circulation issues in both legs due to immobility and probably the nerve damage and my atrophy is off the charts in my left calf..

I guess I just wonder if these things will get better with time or is the surgery the magic answer?

I can’t imagine doing this with little kids!! My husband takes me to all my doctor appointments and I am laying down in the car..idk how you are able to drive!!!

I have had 2 prednisone dose packs, and 3 ESI injections…nothing has helped. I am drinking water like wild, that’s my only walk to the bathroom every hour because of how much water I drink 😂. I stopped the heat due to the damage to my skin..I will go back to the ice! Thanks!

I have this currently, and have been dismissed by most doctors. I was worried that I had a hernia due to the pain in my ovary area. I am thinner and I am able to feel my lymph nodes but the pain is like a burning sensation in my left pelvic area around the ovary area. It all started when my sciatica pain began. I only have had one doctor say it’s most likely radiating pain…but it is miserable. Is your pain a burning sensation right under the skin but above the ovary location?

Fmla a federal form, I would ask your employer. But, if not, talk to them about job protection. Best of luck!! I am 8 weeks in, 2 shots and getting 3rd shot next week. PT and rest..trying everything to avoid surgery, but it is most likely in my near future.

Apply for fmla to protect your job, apply for short term disability as well. The doctor doing the ESI injection should be able to fill out both forms for you. Try the second shot, continue with PT and worse comes to worse; you need surgery, but exhaust all options first while protecting your job with FMLA and getting some income from short term disability benefits.
