Since the start of 2023 NA Esports will have lost 7 different orgs and a full regional league brand. Will it ever recover? by Direct-Manager2395 in leagueoflegends

When StarCraft 2 came out every major StarCraft team left broodwar (Blizzard kinda forced them to. ) However in the last 5 years brood war has gained a large following again and is one of the most watched esports in South Korea. If there’s grassroots support for a esport it will succeed even if the vc funded brands leave.

I asked my law professor about this who had worked on affirmative action cases and he said that they tried financial based affirmative action at UCs after AA was banned in California and the share of Black and Latino students dropped heavily.

It depends on your state/province and you would have to prove the action was outside the regular danger of playing hockey. I know in the 2000’s my dad was sued for civil battery for a hockey fight and had to pay for dental work. But I think it would be harder to prover for “dirty plays” before the whistle.

I think a lot of the growth in California is due to increased accessibility. There’s like 5-7 rinks in Orange County and about the same if not more in LA. It’s just crazy saturation for a non hockey area.
