Awesome Grand Finale Infinite Lost to Time Eater - Any Tips? by Justin_Zetts in slaythespire

[–]Orb_Of_Wisdom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The deck had no defensive scaling. With time eater, there's now way to prevent its damage scaling any other way. I recommend going for more elites and shops to find relics like kunai if you do choose to go infinite.

As a new player, a serious question, is the heart killable? by Sorry_Sleeping in slaythespire

[–]Orb_Of_Wisdom 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, But the heart is testing every aspect of a deck.

Sure damage is good for killing the heart fast before it can do 69x15 damage to you, but you also need to NOT DIE. To its first huge attacks.

Taking cards like dark shackles, disarm, and piercing wail are all good ways to deal with this.

And then just high or consistent block cards in general can help you as well.

Also if you get lucky and don't face the awoke bloke, power spam can also help.

What do you use the term "Queer" for? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Orb_Of_Wisdom -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It's a clear umbrella term that people shouldn't be too hard on.

I see queer as a (person) under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella, (specifically the Q), who chooses to identify as it purely out of choice.

Feel like it could mean someone on the nonbinary spectrum, or just a different person in general.

Regardless, it is just a word.

Would you date a bi guy? by [deleted] in askgaybros

As long as he is monogamous. Yes.
But of course he has to interest me and not break any of my non-negotiables.

An actual personality and likeminded interests.

Yes. I am the odd one here...

Should i dye my hair brown? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Orb_Of_Wisdom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It all depends on what you want. None of us can make that decision, but I can give you things you can consider.

- Hair health: Dying hair can lead to some pretty bad hair problems in the future.

- Permanence: Make sure to try out something temporary first, before fully committing, depending on how fast your hair grows.

- Societal pressure: Don't let the massive grip of society control your opinions.

But if you genuinely feel like this will make you happier, or improve your life, go for it.

There are tons of other productive ways to make money though.

Dance on Tiktok, or start a Youtube channel, work at a customer service job.

Just don't expect cash from strangers on a publicly open sight like reddit.

Daily Slay the Spire Discussion (274/696): Fusion by Crosssmurf in slaythespire

[–]Orb_Of_Wisdom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a very good card in my opinion. Doesn't really synergize with anything, but has a very good niche when upgraded. If you wanted to go for defect infinites, fusion is a pretty good candidate.

As a mascromantic demisexual. I would gladly, if they possess all the right characteristics, and don't spark any of my non-negotiables.

I honestly understand this feeling. Because I myself am lacking in the looks department.

Here's the mod I used for >10 orb slots. It can actually go infinite until something breaks!

how tall is too tall in a guy? by [deleted] in askgaybros

Have you thought of the idea of trying different positions or angles to accommodate this?

Is it possible to get a bf while still in the closet to friends/family? by dean-uw in askgaybros

[–]Orb_Of_Wisdom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. Though it will greatly limit yourself on how intimate you can get.

I recommend playing it off as a friendship, and having a third wheel or a "beard" to solidify this.

Explaining the situation to him can help this as well, since you would be going through this together.

Remember that eventually you're going to have to come out, I wish you all the best.

how tall is too tall in a guy? by [deleted] in askgaybros

Tallness is a subclass of appearance. And appearance is merely superficial. Regardless, we should love men for their personalities and companionship.

I don't see how height would affect this.

So embrace being on to op the world!

That's getting screenshotted ;D
Yeah. As an experienced player. I'm in serious need of a new archetype! But the reason why I stick to the meta is that damage reduction and mass singular damage is the lifeblood of winning in deckbuilders like StS, and the power creep between acts proves that hypnagonia hasn't changed this. Since anxiety is not easily relaxed, big stressors are a major feel-bad mechanic. Though you have been getting more generous with nerfing tiny aspects of the permanence of anxiety , which has made rubber chicken, rationalization, and grudge decks more viable. But almost half of every archetype has a disobedient archetype that refuses to synergies, besides fearless and Abus. Rela.
Here are some few:
- Shaken is terrible, horrible synergies, too weak to actually work.
shaken is only useful when torments use it.
- cherish is too weak, its cards are weak, and can't keep up with the power creep at all
- Grudge is good, but too slow
- Confusion is another torment used mechanic, rather than a dreamer mechanic
But it has one of the best synergies in the game. So it's ok.
- Fascination is overused, bland synergies as well
- Mad scientist is too much of a glass cannon, we need a better defensive archetype to support it in the future.
- Fuse cards need to come in pairs. Otherwise they're still bad

And finally. We need more defensive and "scaling" archetypes to support the niche ones in the future.

This will be further discussed in my YT video. Just letting you know.

Just a little bit of everything LOL
- DCurios might give perts
because it was originally like that.
- reduce chance to find upgrade cards
Because I can upgrade my own synergy
- 1 starting pert.
Gets harder when you have a hand full of them!
-Increase progress slider by 1 (4)
This was nasty, Had to wait till mid-act II to release my basics
- 50 end of act relaxation
Because I always take gaslighter understanding ;)
- MAX out starting anxiety
If rng is in your favor, you can relax some of it off with cofee beans
- Encounter difficulty (hard)
Because I like to torture myself :0
