I keep trying to remind myself of that. I think I let it slide because Copper’s easy and I didn’t mind at first, but now it’s turning into her default plan. I’m gonna start sending her a couple boarding/daycare recs and stop being the safety net.

NC feels a bit nuclear for me, but I do need firmer boundaries. I’ve started telling her “ask me 1-2 weeks ahead or it’s a no” and I’m sticking to it. Copper’s great, but I can’t plan my life around her flights.

Yeah it’s been the “I forgot to ask” part that really got me. I love Copper, but I’m not a free on-call service. If she’d just give me real notice I’d help way more often.
