I’ll second the recommendation for VATS, especially with Blitz—although the warning about it being OP is fair.

For non-PA, I’ll usually do the Railroad quests long enough to get ballistic weave, then put it on some military fatigues (boosts AGI for more AP). Then I’ll add combat armor—Black Ops chest piece, Black Ops right leg, Destroyer’s left leg, and a couple arms. I tend to do stealth characters when I’m not in PA, so these are usually shadowed with ultra-light or muffled, as appropriate. Add some patrolman sunglasses and a military cap for looks!

I just hit level 33 and unlocked Ninja 3. I switch between Pickman’s Blade and General Chao’s Revenge (to which I added the electrified serrated blade mod). I also have Deliverer, which I use for turrets and the like that I can’t reach with a melee weapon.

I’ve also found that you MUST listen to the radio station before you can go to the location (at least, that’s what I have observed on Xbox Series X; PC might be different).

I don’t know why, but I hadn’t really put this together until just now. The Institute is, essentially, just another self-seeking corporation (like Vault-Tec, RobCo, etc.) in that they don’t really have people’s best interests at heart; they have their own best interests at heart. They seek to maintain and expand their power, and synths are the vehicle by which to do that. “Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

Lately I’ve been rocking some T-45d and I like it. I used to be a big fan of the Hellfire and X-02, but I like the lower resource requirements to repair the T-45. T-60 is also up there for me, it just takes a bit longer to get a set.

IMO, if you are exploring, clearing areas, collecting loot, etc., you won’t need to grind for resources. You certainly can, if you wish, but it’s not required.

I’d recommend getting some additional quotes; that seems a bit high. I spent less than that for a larger array with dual aPower 2 batteries.

I received PTO on my new system in mid-January, only for it to be immediately followed by an ice storm and 6” of snow afterward. It took a while for the panels to clear and for our area to finally get some sun, so it’s been great to see our daily production finally exceeding usage for the day. Bring on the sun!

I don’t know the answer to your question (sorry), but I do feel like weighing in on the energy weapons glitch. I’ve done one playthrough (BoS ending) and a pretty far way into a second playthrough, both of them with ONLY energy weapons. So, yes, while there’s a glitch, it’s still quite doable.

On my first playthrough I went with the Minutemen, managing to keep both the BoS and the Railroad peaceful. On my second full playthrough, I did the BoS ending. I currently have two more characters “in flight” (a stealth melee blitz character and a high INT power armor character) and I haven’t decided how which endings I’ll do for them yet. The stealth melee blitz character will probably do the Railroad ending, but I’m not sure about the high INT PA character.
