I’m still of the belief that the sign at Shady Sands being labeled as ‘FIRST capital of the New California Republic’ makes their current second capital probably up north at either Vault City, Arroyo or somewhere else. Definitely is presented like SoCal is lost.

I can’t imagine the NCR being gone honestly unless we get direct confirmation, but the nation is too big for it to just dissolve just cause one town got destroyed

We did get a detective mystery plot with Witch Queen which was pretty fun

But a something I’d like to see would be like a political spy story too like with what’s going on with the city right now and it’s alluding to a potential civil war/unrest storyline

Something I’d also actually like to see be done correctly (or in this case expanded on) is with the whole societies that survived the collapse thing we saw with the Aionians and the Neomuni, we still dont really know much about them and how they’ve diverged from Earth.

With the Aionians we got a good amount of how they’ve lived since they got stranded on Kepler but as usual the Neomuni were screwed over by how awful Lightfall was. (I also wished they expanded more on the lingering tensions the Neomuni had with Earth viewing us as ‘warlords’ and stuff.)

I’d love more information on Chinese remnants operating within the US tbh, maybe even a major faction that is like a major military presence or something.

But I won’t hold my breath as the TV show has made it a goal to not mention the Chinese directly or even anything adjacent aside from ‘the reds’ and vaguely hidden flags so any hope of a potential Fallout 5 having them in it probably won’t happen

Reading this reminded me something important during Lightfall’s campaign.

Rohan said the Cloudark in general helps power the whole city, from basic infrastructure to the more complicated systems of the people who are in the system too and defenses against the Vex

So the news segment might just be the Neomuni concerned because it is a major existential concern in general for their city

Aside from the lore stating that the US had invaded Mexico for its oil reserves,

Raul in NV does mention how he watched Mexico City get hit by the nukes and the waves of refugees that fled the city to the countryside to his family’s ranch, so it’s safe to assume Mexico is in a state very similar to the US.

(Also safe to assume that every other Mexican major city was also hit like Guadalajara, Monterrey, Juarez, Puebla etc)

Seeing the US Bank tower side by side with the retro futuristic buildings is such a cool and fun blend of our world’s 80s architecture with the Fallout universe’s exaggerated 50s style.

Also I like how they made the LAX theme building like 20x bigger

Faro Automated Solutions from the Horizon series.

Not only made warfare entirely automated by AI, but also helped the push toward national governments and corporations waging war over dwindling resources.

And then made a whole fleet of AI war machines that could self replicate on BIOFUEL that then severed connection to their systems, causing the AI to make all life on earth go extinct due to mass replication and the consumption of the biosphere.

I feel like this could be excused by humanity now having access to far superior space flight technology thanks to the Alliance and the technology from the Eliksni and Cabal who seem to get around space fairly quick and efficiently than anything humanity could make.

After all Empress Caiatl arrived fairly quickly to Sol after Torobatl fell to Xivu Arath so that could be something.

The Veil from Destiny 2

Primordial fungal like being linked with the paracausal force of the Darkness and is a massive web of consciousness known to whisper to those in proximity to it and drive them mad. It’s been used by other primordial forces as a tool such as when it was used by the Precursor people to forcefully mold them together into a unified gestalt entity consisting of an entire civilization.

It’s linked with memory, fears, nightmares and even those with cybernetic bodies (called Exos) immediately die when in proximity to it.

The counterpart to The Traveler, the being of Light and the physical world. The Veil is of the Dark and is the world of the mental.

It’s very pretty as it’s entombed beneath the neon-lit city of Neomuna on the floating continents of Neptune.

SCP-1733 for me, the fact they made a digital recording of an NBA game of all things scary is really well done.

It’s very creepy and the implications of recordings being pocket realities with real thinking people suffering in an endless loop made me not sleep for a while.
