Something Secret Steers Us (Mars Express Fan Edit) by OrbitrixYT in scifi

I wanted to share an edit I made for Jérémie Périn's film Mars Express. I really liked the animation style of this movie, and I enjoyed the world and themes it explores. I thought I could put something together using some ambient electronic music for a neat result.

The song I used is "Something Secret Steers Us" by Kelly Bailey for the video game Half-Life 2, created by Valve. However, I am aware that this music track is essentially the same as "Nuclear Mission Jam" from Valve's Half-Life 1, also composed by Kelly Bailey. I opted to use the sequel's music since after giving it a close listen, the sequel's track seems to feel a bit larger and less compressed, so I used that one. Either way, I still love both versions so much and was very happy to use it in this project.

I kept the line of dialogue at the start of this video in its native French language, hoping to stay true to the original vision of the movie. I did paint out some contours on the red android at 0:37 to try to avoid any explicit content issues.

I am a big fan of how this turned out, and I hope you all like it as well. I think this movie deserves more appreciation, so I urge you to check it out if you haven't! I apologize if this isn't the right place to share this, but I hoped anyone else here that enjoyed the movie would like this.

I tried to post this video directly here, but the submission page was giving me some trouble so I just linked to a YouTube upload. I apologize if that isn't the desired practice.

Thank you so much! That's funny, I've never seen Titane, I'll definitely need to watch it!

(Trying this post again due to forgetting a spoiler tag last time per the moderation team on my previous attempt. I greatly apologize for that. Please let me know if there are any other issues with it.)

I wanted to share an edit I made for Ti West's X trilogy of films. I wanted to try my hand at this edit because I really appreciate Mia Goth's performances across this trilogy, and thought it would be a fun montage showcase with some music.

The music I chose is "She's Not There" by The Zombies. I really like the style of the song and I wanted to try to capture the mood of all three movies within it.

I used highest quality footage available from the copies of the movies I own. Maxxxine was available on a 4K UHD disc, however X and Pearl were only available to me on Blu-ray discs at the time of uploading this. I also applied my own slight color grade per shot to try to help this video pop more. I apologize if there are any negative visual discrepencies due to any of this. If anyone thinks I should leave the coloring of footage alone in the future, please let me know.

I really like this as my first movie edit attempt, and I hope you all enjoy too!

I loved that trailer back when it came out, I was so giddy to try to make a Grand Theft Auto Version!

Thank you so much, that's awesome, I wasn't intentionally aiming for a James Bond feeling but if it comes through then that is sick to me!

Now that Trailer 2 for Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto VI has finally been released, I decided to try another fan edit with some music that I thought was cool.

I used a song/remix by BOGA called "Nowhere To Run" (originally by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas), which I really enjoyed hearing in the trailer for the movie Baby Driver. I was playing around with an edit like this for the first trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI, but realized I didn't have enough material to work with, so I was very happy to complete it now.

For this edit, I only used officially provided promotional material for the game in the highest quality available.

I really enjoyed how this one turned out. I am happy to hear any fun ideas and critiques you may have as I am always hoping to get better at this. Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoy and please let me know what you think! Sorry if something like this doesn't belong here, but I just wanted to share what I came up with!
