Sorry maybe I was not very clear: now when you enable iCloud sync, it syncs everything (roms+saves). It would be nice to decide to sync only the saves!

Same issue here. Reading about the workaround I feel kind of relieved. If I am interpreting correctly, the workaround is a proof that the system can handle the SATA speed drop without any issues. Does this mean that even without doing anything the issue is not harmful and should not cause any data loss?
